I wonder if it softened up any of the "if Daryl dies we riot" crowd since Glenn's death is purely his fault.

 

Alexandria camp is going to be pretty thin on the man power with Glenn, Abe, and Daryl taken away just like that. And Morgan gone too. Not that the women can't hold their own but still.

I mean honestly, what was the best possible outcome he was hoping for? Haha. Now if they had Negan like pump fake at him or something like that, then it might be a bit more understandable. Reaction and all.

 

I'm sure he wasn't thinking at all, he just watched his friend get his skull bashed in by some smug dick

 

What's the consensus here of whether or not it was or wasn't Daryl's fault?

 

Yeah I just think he's impulsive and wasn't thinking about any consequences. At least that's the only reason I can think of why someone would punch a guy with a barb wire bat.

 

I bet that punch felt really good though.

 

I'm kind of glad I put off watching the last six episodes of last season until this weekend. I was already behind when I heard about how the ended the season finale, so it really turned me off from it. I lost all faith in the writers and stopped caring about this show a long time ago, it's gotten to the point where I read the spoiler tags about the comics in this thread. I was kind of hoping it wouldn't be Glenn because that's who it is in the comics. I was pretty disappointed when it was Abraham because I didn't care about him at all. This show needs to quit it with the shenanigans. Just the fact that there was yet another fake-out after the stupid cliffhanger cheapened it even more. Ideally it should've been only Glenn and at the end of last season so that it wasn't immediately followed by forty minutes of Negan breaking Rick. Glenn deserved better. Welp, there goes yet another token Asian character. Probably won't get another until Maggie's baby is born because apparently our race doesn't survive the zombie apocalypse. Funny how the token Asian character also dies in Supernatural, which JDM is also in.

They did make a big deal about Morgan making jail cell, but that could also be another cut off the hand tease for comic readers

I mean, it was definitely Daryl's fault Negan took a second victim.

 

Just watched, and god damn that was brutal but brilliant. The level of suspense again was very well worked (even though I knew who bit the dust!).
Did I hate the s6 cliffhanger at the time? Yes. Do I give a fuck about the cliffhanger now? Fuck no. Glad to have this show back, and am glad to be reading the internet's dumb, OTT reactions to this meaningless entertainment TV show.

Damn, Abe was such a great character. Probably the only one amongst them who wasn't shitting their pants there. Stood up tall and basically dares Negan to pick him.

I feel like Darryl supporters are using the same type of logic Trump supporters use when they defend him. Like come on, it's 100% his fault haha.
