It can be found online, but fan theories interest me. Would you mind sharing what he told you? In spoiler tags obv
If anyone would like to read, here is a piece on The Walking Dead and how much of a frustration it has become. The Jaded Horror Fan: The Walking Frustration
I can't help but watch the goddamn show every year. It starts off great, then starts to wander, then loses me completely before finishing strong MOST finales.
I agree with that. Premieres are always a fun time, then I'm feeling strung along until the finale. Each time the episode comes on I say "Well, I guess I might as well watch. I've come this far..."
I feel like this show is almost meant to be binged. Dumb cliff hangers and fake outs wouldn't feel quite as cheap if we didn't have to wait weeks ( or months) for a resolution. I agree fully with that writer's points, but I'm still hooked and will watch every ep the night it airs... No matter how pissed I get in the process
I think the main issue is the mid season breaks. What's even worse is that Fear The Walking Dead does this too.
In the teaser, Dwight is both riding Daryl's motorcycle and wearing his leather jacket - both were in Daryl's possession in the finale. The bike could perhaps have another explanation, but why the jacket? IMO he keeps them as trophies, that he "won" their rivalry despite Negan being the one that killed him Edit: Could be an intentional bluff though, as there is an official AMC video based around the above. I thought the vid my friend sent me was a leak or something; an official video now, when they've openly said they're trying incredibly hard to keep the victim a secret until the premiere, seems intentionally misleading IMO.
Well, I know others mentioned it, but if you want to know what happens you can look at this post from TSD: TV Show - The Walking Dead (AMC) To further expand on a certain character's fate, Daryl gets taken prisoner. He is kept locked up at the Saviors' compound and forced to wear a jumpsuit that has an "A" on it, which apparently stands for asshole. This is why Dwight has Daryl's clothes. Daryl's been spotted on set wearing this jumpsuit outfit at the compound for multiple episodes now. I understand if you want to completely avoid this information though.
Oh yeah it explicitly states who dies. All the information is based off intrepid set stalking and insider information. The people who run the site have been dead on for years now based off of all the information they accrue. They have a complete list of who appears in which episode all the way up to episode seven or eight so far.
That's nice. Gonna be a ton of bullshit shots, angles, and dialogue from Sasha in an oversized black hoodie like they did with Tara last season.
I was kinda put off by this show after that cliffhanger, so I went ahead and looked up the spoilers... After I read it, all I could think was "Now WHY couldn't they have done that in the finale, again?" Seriously don't get why they had to make an extended episode to make them literally drive up and down the road with no payoff.
