I’m an episode behind so haven’t seen the finale yet but I agree, picked up as it went along. Still don’t care about these characters/locale as much as the Frenchies, but the town is a cool place overall with their walled defenses and such.
So I was wrong and Daryl S3 is seven episodes! Last night’s ep was v solid. It was definitely the strongest of the season and felt like a proper season finale. I’m looking forward to what they do with season 4
Discovered there’s a channel on my Fire TV that essentially plays the first 10 seasons of TWD on a loop, so I’ve been putting that on a lot lately There’s ads and its in SD, and I already own the series digitally and on blu-ray, but it’s kinda nice just to watch whatever episode is airing at any given time
I recently rewatched season 3 what a show it used to be. It’s been 12 - 13 years and some episodes still hooked me in
My only complaint with season 3 was how they didn’t wrap up the Gov story. It felt like such a let down to not have the story resolved then. that being said, both halves of Season 4 ended up being pretty peak TV
It's hard for me to wrap my head around how much I used to love the show. I should rewatch up til the Negan cliffhanger But even before that the death fake outs had gotten pretty tiresome, though I don't recall it impacting my enjoyment that much
I was talking to people earlier about the build up to Negan. It gave some sort of energy to the fandom, especially with sites like TheSpoilingDead. Between seasons 3 - 6, it felt like Negan’s intro was the big moment everyone was 1) excited to see play out 2) dreading to see happen because we all knew what it meant. Aside from the poor writing, it kinda felt like the fans were aimless after his intro. The biggest moment had already passed, and there was no single thing left to look forward to that generated the same level of hype
I was so damn nervous during that whole Negan episode. Leaving that with a cliffhanger is easily the shittiest thing any TV show has ever done
