I wondered if there was a chance that Rick and Michonne’s reunion does not end up being all rosy? I felt like Rick had already been threatened prior to Michonne coming and now he seemed hellbent on keeping her with him for the safety of everyone else
Amazing episode. Both episodes so far have made for great TV. It's sooooo good that these characters are back!
I liked it but yeah they really dragged out the decision of Rick haha. But the payoff was nice with his stories about the dreams.
Definitely my least favourite so far, I struggled to find Rick’s acting as convincing as Michonne. It just seemed off to me. Pacing was very slow
It must be getting a second season, I don’t see how they can get back to the CRM as well as a reunion. I felt last week was a bit flat, the emotion didn’t translate through too well. This one was much more convincing. Happy to say goodbye to Anne, that was dragging
Fantastic episode. Only episode I haven't been that positive on was last week's, but I really it's been a great series. As others have said, dunno how they're gonna wrap it up in one episode.....I hope there's a S2.
Finally watched last weeks episode and yeah it was really good. I enjoyed the Anne/Jadis stuff tbh. Really seems like they’re not getting home in tonight’s episode but I’ll take a second season
Oh also my other thought last week was, for some reason, I had no idea the mission they were on was so far out west lol. I definitely for some reason thought they were in upstate New York. Then as I was watching the episode I was like those mountains don’t look like upstate New York, another “10 miles outside of Boston” error…but then it turned out they were actually in Wyoming haha. I probably missed it in an earlier episode but I thought they had said it was in upstate ny. Oops
I’ve just watched the final episode, agree, it felt rushed. The build up to the echelon briefing was definitely too long and drawn out, I mean we basically knew what was happening already - minus the part with the kids. Pretty neat little series but my overwhelming feeling is it could have been a much better story with a proper 10 or 12 episode order.
Is there a situation in this universe where the dead are defeated and society finally organizes itself into something normal/successful and this series/universe ends?
I felt a bit the same, they have come across a hell of a lot of different colonies within close proximity to Alexandria, how is it that they haven’t managed to find allies that focus on the bigger picture until the CRM?
A second season of Dead City starts tonight and I only found out about it liek 2-3 weeks ago when I started seeing commercials for it haha. I liked the first season, but I honestly can't believe they're still going. I still am missing out on the last few seasons of Fear, and have yet to get to the Daryl show seasons yet.
I think S1 of Dead City was solid enough but should’ve been eight or maybe ten episodes instead of six and resolved the series. I’ll tune into season 2 but it’s going to be a frustrating watch if they don’t tread some new emotional ground Daryl Dixon is the best of the legacy character spinoff shows imo, and season 2 improved upon the first. It doesn’t touch TWD or Fear in their prime, but there are plenty of great moments to make it feel worthwhile
Daryl spinoff has been renewed for a fourth and final season ahead of S3's premiere in September. Gonna consist of eight episodes and filming will begin in Spain this month
BEen catching up on the Walking Dead world...the Daryl show is honestly pretty decent! The first episode of it was kinda boring/a lot of set up and I was worried I'd end up not caring about the new characters but I ended up liking them by the end of Season 1. There's some clear "dumb choices characters make just to keep the storyline going/maintain Daryl's plot armor" beats that aren't new to the TWD writing, but still decent enough. And I enjoyed seeing how the apocalypse was going in another country. My big worry at this point is I'm worried I'll never get a resolution to the storyline that I want, aka Daryl getting to reunite with Rick and the rest. I assume they won't be bringing back all those characters for a one off scene lol
How is S3 of Daryl? I've been meh on the show, it's not bad but it's not great....just loved seeing Daryl and Carol reunite and bena team again, and hoping we get overarching lore that goes back to the beginning/origin of the virus.
Daryl S3 has been ok so far. I'd probably recommend waiting until the whole season is out to watch it though The first episode is kind of its own little quest, so we're not introduced to any named characters in Spain until the second episode, which would work a lot better if the season weren't only six episodes. Now we're halfway through and idk how much it's gonna feel like a distinct arc in the series vs setup for S4
Yeah my main complaint through the 3 episodes so far is I’m not nearly as invested in these characters I was in the France characters after a couple episodes. But still decent so far.
Even though it largely feels like setup for season 4, I overall really liked Daryl season 3. It picked up in the back half and I especially like Paz. It's also rad how so much of the dialogue is in Spanish. I'm a bit frustrated by how Carol has been used, though. She's such a competent character but throughout S3 she hasn't seemed very methodical and has been portrayed as reckless in a way that doesn't make much sense
