This is fairly shocking and bums me out a bit. Yeah the show isn't what it used to be, but I still love it. Like Mick said, they should have kept this info quite. Would have made one hell of a surprise. That kinda pisses me off too. Stop releasing this kinda of info. Now we won't have a "true" reaction no matter how they choose to exit him from the show. Also maybe JDM gets more screentime now? I visited the "Woodbury" set in Senoia, GA this weekend and ate at Norman and Greg's restaurant for like the 3rd time. It's a quaint little area and you can basically just walk up to the walls of Alexandria since they film in the same place. Saw the main entrance to Alexandria this time and the gate was open. Pretty cool place not far from me. "Woodbury Coffee House" is a cool spot.
The shame is that the season 8 finale could’ve been an ok series finale if it wasn’t for the civil war foreshadowing and the helicopter bit.
Seriously though, what would be the best way for Rick to go out? Maybe after all this and the time jump he has cancer or something. Walker bite? Murdered by Maggie?
He starts walking west until he meets up with a new ragtag group of survivors for the series premiere of Yep. More Walking Dead.
So it just wasn’t me. I love ep 1and most of ep2 of Fear this season. And the last two were unwatchable Also WOW about Andy Linc Prob hard to keep that secret. But damn wish they at least tried
So the lead character will become the guy who's not even in the comics in the first place and who, in the last 2-3 seasons, only grunts a few words here and there. Yeeeeaaahh that won't work.
idk i feel like even tho walt was a piece in BB, everyone was still rooting for him. it'd be hard to root for someone who murders rick.
Haha. Just replace Rick a diff actor with no explanation like new Becky (topical) in Rosanne years ago
not at all just you. i've even seen people online talking about how they watched S1-3, then started S4 and actually thought they must have missed a season
The show would have a good reputation if it ended with the group settling in Alexandria. Seasons 6 - 8 are jokes. I never cared much for season 3 but after a few reruns I’ve started to like it more.
This franchise is an absolute dumpster fire. I've been begging for years for this show to wrap up, or at least seek out an end game. What did they think was going to happen, that all the main characters were going to sign lifetime contracts to appear in this show for 20 shitty seasons? Now, we're going to get an ending (probably 7 years down the line with no one watching and embarrassing reviews) without the main character. So fucking stupid.
Maybe the plot of the show is a metaphor for the series in real life... The show just keeps slowly plodding forward like a walker until it deteriorates to the point where it can't physically continue.....or someone puts a knife in its head.
This is upsetting. I spent 8 years watching this show waiting for a proper end for Rick Grimes and they’re gonna kill him off mid-season? Wtf. I was one of those people that actually was willing to stick until the bitter end but there is NO show without Andrew Lincoln. Ridiculous that they couldn’t figure out a proper ending for him ahead of time, at least until the season finale. The writers continue making stupid decisions and absolutely refuse to end their money making machine, sigh.
Ideal end for him as a character would be Rick, & Michonne, just leaving with those helicopter people and escaping the torrent of bullshit that each and every other character brings them. Leaving those guys behind would be as happy an ending as any character would get in this universe...
They said he would be in six episodes. Maybe one of those is the season finale. It’s probbaly unlikely and would be hard to shoot it like that but it’s possible.
