Didn’t know about this either Walking Dead Star’s Father Accuses Scientology of "Brainwashing" Her in Damning New Interview
Out of all the religions, Scientology is the only one that actually makes me physically uneasy. I drive past a center every day for work and it skeeves me out hardcore
I don't even know what a conclusive end game would be at this point. They've been going in circles and droning on for so long that I don't know what they would do. You can win all the wars and you can find the safest place to live, but as long as people can turn into walkers...the story doesn't "end". I had a thought that at some point they could do a crazy, emotional ending where one of the kids (who was born after the initial outbreak) gets killed and doesn't turn. Still open-ended, but at least that way they could just insinuate that eventually, somewhere down the line, things could be restored.
I always assumed they had a canned ending like that thought of years ago that they could break out any time they felt like ending the show. God knows they don't have an actual direction of the story.
The baby would have shared the DNA of both mom and dad, not to mention would be in the womb of the mother (who is infected), so it would absorb whatever it's mom gives it. It's a cool ending, but doesn't make sense from a common everyday-medical stand point. I get we are in a world with zombies, that don't actually exist in real life, but I feel like basic human occurrences would remain the same.
A YA book series I love had a similar outcome with their zombies (and is supposed to take place in the same world as TWD, even though the author of the series has nothing to do with Kirkman or the comic), and iirc they explained it as a government made virus that eventually mutated and that’s why people stopped coming back....but there also may have been a medication....I’m not too sure right now.
I get what you're saying, but I think the whole concept is that it still leaves the "virus" a mystery (since they've already said they have no intention of addressing a cause or cure). No one knows what it actually is, how it works, how long it lasts, etc. so saying it's medically impossible is a little too assuming.
Damn. That is a cool ending, haha. Or they focus for like a minute on the dead person and cut to black so we never know if they turn or not...kind of like Inception where we don't know if the top keeps spinning or not. I guess the only end game I would assume is they either all die, find a safe zone where civilization is being restored, or some sort of cure is found. None are groundbreaking, but I just want this to come to an end. Quickly.
Not necessarily. Depends on the content really. The story we're following in TWD world has endless/open possibilities and its hindered by nonsense. Many shows I like or praise are generally built around self-contained stories that (generally) have an endpoint in view.
I agree with you there. Which is why this is all so frustrating. Instead of moving forward with new storylines, the same stories are just being recycled for like, 4 straight seasons and their way of dealing with it is to just keep inserting new meaningless, uninteresting characters all the time. The main problem is Kirkman or Gimple keep saying dumb shit like 'oh this show can go on for 20 seasons' and it's clear the content is suffering majorly each and every season we don't get more toward an endpoint or at least something new and interesting.
I think that might be my main gripe with this show. If people can turn for the rest of time then things can never really go back to normal regardless if they defeat their enemies or find a safe area. Is the conclusion of the show where they just defeat the biggest bad guy and that's it?
Id like to think that it could be a big fight for survival between people in what they believe is all that’s left of the world now. Until military-esque teams start showing up in areas to save people and relocate them to safe zones where order is restored. Once this happens, the group we’ve been following has all of their moral obligations and care for another pay off in that they never lost hope of the real world coming back. Think about that....Rick loses Carl, his hand, watches his friend get his head bashed in, and fights with his sanity and morals constantly for seasons. Finally the question of “why did we follow this one group all this time who looks just as bad as the saviors?” Because people like Rick and Herschel thought keeping your humanity was more important than what people like Negan are after. Would be something for it to happen right as Rick has let go and is like, mass murdering people lol.
watch somehow/someway there is going to be a hybrid zombie/human that their DNA will contain some kind of vaccine that never allows you to turn. A walker bite may hurt like a son of a bitch, but at least you won't be one!
Lol what are the odds on the shocking moment being shocking I stopped listening to these people when they hyped up the Negan cliffhanger when they were saying they were crying and shit when they read it and we know they hadn't even picked who would die yet lol
