Thank you! Might need to start catching up, then. Only made it about three episodes into last season before calling it quits...
No problem! If it is true then, well, it certainly adds some weight to what Gimple has to say in this interview: ‘The Walking Dead’ Showrunner on Why Rick Couldn’t Aim for Negan, and When Those Flash Forwards Will Be Explained
Last two seasons I really stopped caring so I would read every spoiler, but if it's seeming actual confirmation of the show doing something good for once I need to be surprised lol
Haha, well...it's hard to say if this one's good or not. I guess it depends on personal opinion of the factors involved in this particular instance. Trying to be as discreet as possible here.
yeah whether or not its good is entirely subjective. I'm pretty much all for spoilers with this show because i need a reason to stay invested. if i know something badass is coming in a few episodes im gonna hang around to watch how it plays out. Somehow, knowing spoilers has never ruined this show for me. I guess that's good? I will live under a rock and avoid human contact for weeks if it means avoiding a GoT spoiler though. Funny how that works.
I just read the spoiler....I was THIS close to posting that as a joke earlier today before I actually read it, thinking it would be the most absurd thing to throw out there as a joke. That could have been bad.
I almost feel like they need to do this. there's only one other character IMO whos death would evoke the emotion Carl's will, and thats Maggie, and I think she's the safest of them all. This show needs another Glenn moment, it needs many more of them. Like I mentioned previously, emotional investment is something this show is lacking so badly. I want to watch Rick grieve and mourn Carl because I want to pity someone on this show the way I did Carol when we saw Sophia come out of the barn, and Maggie when she lost Glenn, and Beth, and her Dad.....and....her whole.......family....damn Maggies seen some shit. be super careful scrolling over this if you aint feelin' spoilers
I'll be more sad if Shiva dies than any other character to be honest. Which I think is realistically WHEN and not IF. It's pretty silly she even survived that first fight. Everyone would be shooting at the tiger if there was a tiger....
also, back on this, I read an article/interview this morning (i believe with either Gimple or Kirkman) that implied that WAAYYY less time has actually passed than it appears. It's only been about a few weeks to a month in actual time since negan actually appeared, which was very shortly after maggie revealed her pregnancy. so glenn and abrahams death and all the events of last season really have only been happening over like a 2-3 week period. they said don't expect maggie to give birth this season because everything is going to be happening so quickly in time.
I don't remember a show ever making it so hard to follow the time with how many characters they jump between and awful pacing lol
yeah, for real. the largest time jump was between season 2 and 3 which was close to a full year, essentially loris entire pregnancy. Everything else thats happened has apparently happened within that next year.
