Julian sounds great

 

New Voidz and new Albert Hammond Jr albums in the next couple months. Now just need a Strokes record this year.

 

Feel like this could have been a Strokes song? Nothing negative, I just assumed it would be weirder if that makes sense.

Really enjoyed Phrazes for the Young, but couldn't get into the first Voidz album at all. That being said, I definitely look forward to checking this out. Will give anything Julian-related a fair chance.

 

Phrazes was (in my opinion) underrated and the first Voidz was on a completely different spectrum. Best case for me is that this is a course correction and the sounds will meet somewhere in the middle.

 

Tyranny is one of my favorite albums ever. This song is good but it’s missing the weird shit from that album

literally no way i'm reading a long ass michael nelson piece about this shit, he is a terrrrrible writer

 

I got about a quarter of the way through and realized reading that is going to be more work than understanding the album and closed the tab.

 

I love this article/review/whatever. Made me think about Say Anything a lot, curiously enough.

Way more accessible than Tyranny, which, in my opinion, makes it a lot better.
