Ross Robinson...now there's a name that takes me back haha He was a staple of the late 90's/early 00's nu-metal scene, big time rock producer. Surprised to see him working with The Used.
After I read "He was a staple of the late 90's/early 00's nu-metal scene" I had to go check out his credits. You weren't kidding. I'm even more excited now.
I'm shocked they aren't working with Feldmann but happy they are going with someone else. Excited to hear what direction they go in.
Quinn is playing a super tiny venue this month in SLC with his wife for their new project together. I may go.
Do it, man! Quinn is an awesome dude. One time 2004 when they were on tour with TBS....I got a mistaken for him at their Chicago show and was asked to take a picture. I should've just went along with it, but I told them I wasn't him. I felt cool though haha. He was one my favorite guitarist for awhile. He's the reason I ended up buying an SG back in the day.
When I was 14 I once rudely interrupted Quinn's dinner to ask for a picture and he was super nice even though I'm sure he thought I was a little shit, haha. I also accosted Jeph once walking out of a grocery store and he was awesome too.
Haha that's funny. I have had a bunch of run ins with these guys. Hell, I've been to Jeph's house before, where in the living was all of MCR's touring equipment.
Even though I've been lukewarm on them for the past 2 years because of kicking Quinn out, I actually think this album is going to be something special. It does seem like they've been working very hard on it, and Imaginary Enemy still holds up even though it feels like it was thrown together pretty haphazardly imo.
I am so ready. I've had a nice and long break from this band, ready to let them back into my life haha
I go back to that one the most for sure, but I can also always listen to the first 2. I really wonder what would have happened if instead of Lies, they followed up Love and Death with Artwork. I feel like Lies being so eh is what made a lot of people drop off.
