here are a couple long but very good interviews from 2016 with quinn and brandon and with bert from 2020. well worth listening too. especially how q and b talked about the used from pre-used all the way up to late 2016. both are very good listens and worth listening to in their entirety. 801PUNX - Episode 10 - July 17, 2016 - 801PUNX (podcast) | Listen Notes EP. 74 - Bert McCracken (The Used) | Sappenin’ Podcast with Sean Smith on Acast
i wouldn't say i know them personally at all, no. i have a couple friends who are close with them and i hear things through the grapevine sometimes. a lot less these days, but nope, i haven't heard anything about that project since it was more or less announced.
Uh oh this dude is gonna freak out when he realizes Bert has a hammer and sickle tattooed on his finger.
Nice, Greg is playing guitar in that video. I played "The Taste of Ink" with him once in my friend's basement. I played the guitar riff as a joke and then he came in on the drums and we ended up playing the whole song haha.
I take the first two Used albums over any Killers album but I easily have three Killers songs in my top 10 so I go that way
Hot Fuss has some jaaaams, get real. I’d easily take Hot Fuss over any Used album, except their debut.
The Killers are great and will go down as one of the great American rock n' roll bands, but I'm a Used head so I'd pick them every time easy.
I like both bands and I think they both serve a purpose for their respective genres. I like songs from both of them and while I wouldn't say they're the best, they are very good at what they do.
Not a conversation I really desired to start but when you're gonna try to put down the Killers lyrics in the thread of a band that wrote Now That You're Dead or Liar Liar I had to push back a little lol
