Truly one of my favorite albums of all time.

 

They probably don’t even know music existed before computers

 

Explaining the mode of production doesn't magically make it good all of a sudden

I guess there’s not enough trap beats and Swedish songwriters on The Canyon for these fools

 

The production is definitely not great, but I still think there’s some really good songs on that album in spite of that. I appreciate that they pushed their sound more than they had before, and quite a lot of it works for me.

 

Old enough to record songs onto cassettes on a boombox off the radio

Coincidentally the recordings sounded just like this album

Unfortunately there's quite a few good songs on this album rendered unlistenable

I mean “fuck you” may be a bit cringe, but it was snappy. I accept it and am optimistic.

 

I love The Used and I hate them at the same time lol. I felt this way when the first single on Heartwork was "Blow Me" ugh. I'll still probably love the song though

 

I need to go through their whole discography (especially the last handful of albums) and make a playlist of just the songs I like. I don't listen to them very much outside of the first album because every other album only has a couple songs I love, and then a bunch I don't like, so I never listen to those other albums... I'm going to do that today while I pretend to work.

 

I love most of what they have done. Meh on Imaginary Enemy and The Canyon aside from a few tracks. Their latest, Heartwork, really is some of their best work I think. Also have a huge soft spot for Artwork

What did he say about it? Is the new album still scheduled for a Spring release? There was a post about the new album, cover art, and tracklist on the Vinyl Collective forums but I think it's gone now.

 

New album is called Toxic Positivity and is out on 5/19. Pre-orders are going to be up today or tomorrow.

Yeah they’re DUMB! Whatever, I like dumb things. I also think they have worse lyrics on Heartwork and especially on Imaginary Enemy imo.
