Just listened to the podcast and I'm sad to hear how they were both treated within the band.

What Quinn said about the album process makes a lot of sense why they dropped off after Lies For The Liars (no where near as good as the first two albums)

It seems Bert is all out of creative energy which is something we've known for years.

 

cant get over how good the self titled debut is.

Seriously. So glad I went to that tour date. The album took on whole new meaning for me as an adult, and realizing it at the live show was so cool

 

Incredibly solid album. I tend to put it on heavy rotation every fall.

 

Still one of my favourite albums and one of my favourite vocal performances ever.

 

Yeah the debut is one of the best post hardcore/emo albums to from from that 2002-2003 branch

It's a shame the rest of their discography is kind of doo doo butter

I will always be the only one who likes all their albums lol But their 1st album is my favorite album ever and is the most important album to me. Don't see that ever changing.

 

I enjoy a good chunk of their stuff to varying degrees but the debut is so much better than everything else it's not even funny.

 

I think if I were to do a top ten songs, only half would be S/T album songs. It's my favorite, but I don't think I hold it on this pedestal that is show high about the rest of their albums, esp the 2nd and 4th.

 

ST is my #1, but ILAD and Artwork are a very, very close 2nd. Love them almost as much, ST just beats em out by a bit.

 

I think the only songs that would crack my top 10 that aren't from the self-titled are Sound Effects and I Caught Fire.

After the top 3 it isn't really in order and I hate it already because I had to leave out Force Without Violence and Earthquake boo!

OMFG I am horrible!!! I left off Taste of Ink and I have the lyrics tattooed on my chest ooooops lol! How did I forget that one?? I just like too many. But nice to see someone else who loves Cut Up Angels!

 

Cut Up Angels has such a cool, fun vibe and beat to it. I really liked their acoustic version on their live cd that came out not too long ago

Well, I looked it up and you haven't heard it because I lied. I was thinking Lunacy Fringe for some reason on the acoustic dvd. I watched the live dvd online and then watched ILAD live from the most recent tour back to back and must have gotten it mixed up. Cut Up Angels sounded really good live from someone's cell though lol.

 

i heard from another source that it's tyler from neon trees. so we'll see!

Welcome back. I'm actually pretty interested to see what Justin will bring to the table on their new album. But I'll definitely miss Quinn.

 

Imaginary Enemies was their biggest miss IMO, so I hope like when Lies came out and disappointed me, they take their time and come back with another Artwork

 

I don't think the last record was a mistake, it's still got a lot of songs that I love but it wasn't what I wanted after the Ocean of the Sky EP. I think we're in for a very different the Used record coming up with the addition of Justin. I remember reading in an interview earlier this year that they were toying with doing a concept album.
