I can't wait to listen to the Used's new single, titled "Paradise Lost," which is also the name of their new album titled "Paradise Lost," which is based on the John Milton Poem of the same name, titled "Paradise Lost."

 

Album coming out April 17th!

 

Also soon to be a national holiday: The Used's "Paradise Lost" Day.

 

It’s also incredibly ironic that the album is called Paradise Lost because when I’m listening to the album it’ll be more like Paradise Found!

 

Saw them in Pittsburgh last night and we got Tunnel!!! I was hoping for that and Just A Little. Didn't get Just A Little but we got Hospital, Empty With You, and my fave song ever Pieces Mended! I hope they keep switching up their setlists in the future bc it was great to finally hear some songs I've never heard them play. Definitely cried like a baby during Tunnel, too.

 

But what about the Paradise Lost album on April 17?!

Oh also at the show last night, Bert did mention like 4 separate times about them maybe touring with MCR in the fall but also said most of what he says on stage is a lie so there's that lol Also before they played Sound Effects and Overdramatics he said it was the heaviest song they ever wrote except for something off the new record (I mean I'm not personally get my hopes up about that but w/e).

 

Yeah, I like it too!

 

Interesting that Mark and Travis are featured on separate tracks.

 

I'm guessing they got back together with Feldmann? He's got ties to Beartooth, Blink, and Fever333.

 

Listening to Empty With You (I'm still familiarizing myself with some of the discography). While I've listened to Artwork, I don't recognize this song (probably just haven't listened enough), but it's making me think of Broken Windows (love that song).

Also, Shallow Believer is one of the albums I definitely have not heard yet, so Tunnel is next on my listening list. Glad you enjoyed.

I also love Soundeffects. This new album does sound promising.

 

You def gotta listen to Shallow Believer! I think it’s one of their best releases and has a lot of my fave Used songs. And Tunnel is basically everything I love about The Used. I know everyone looooves heavy Used which I get bc I do too but softer Used is my fave Used so a song like Tunnel is right up my alley.

 

The song titles on this record are pretentious and I expect the lyrics to be like that too. Unfortunate, because I do have faith that this will be a competent retread of their first couple of releases though.

 

Man, those two are my favorite releases personally. Glad you're getting to explore them!

That’s the best The Used song in quite awhile, I really dig it...

 

The vinyl actually looks pretty cool.

kind of blown away by how dope this track is. really feel like this band is about to enter another peak in their career. both in terms of the quality of the music and their relevancy in the genre. super stoked for them.

 

Especially if they do end up touring with MCR, they could get a nice boost. They deserve it, they've been working hard for years and have never really stopped.
