Listened to self-titled the other day bc I was watching John Feldmanns Audience TV special and he credited that album for his entire producing career. Holy Nostalgia.
I listened to Lies For The Liars again this evening and while it is inconsistent, there are still some bangers like The Ripper on it.
I think lies for the liars had always been underappreciated! Fun tracks, with great hooks. It helped spawn shallow believer as well, my favorite b sides album bar none.
Disappointing as a follow up to two amazing albums, I still jammed it a ton and had some great tracks like Ripper, Bird and Paralyzed. It did it's job I guess and held us over until the trye follow up, Artwork!
I love all of LIES except "Liar Liar". Probably my second favorite Used record if I really think about it.
I've always thought it was very weird that they held off their favorites for the b-sides album instead of using them for the actual studio album.
Easy....Lunacy Fringe. Lunacy Fringe bc its so different from everything else on the album. Its still a very good song though.
I was so pumped for LFTL that I bought all three versions with the different bonus tracks and also the deluxe cd with the book Ughhhh ugh ugh
Bert McCracken: 'The Used Made It Awful For All The True Punk Bands, We Weren't Afraid Of Radio Or MTV' — Kerrang!
haha same. I have a few of those Books with the CD/DVD combo things (LP Mins to Midnight, Staind Chapter V and POD Testify). Kinda cool format, but I don't think it caught on.
Yeah not rare either I don't think. I have LFTL and the only other one I have is a book for American Idiot
bahaha I think we talked about this awhile back because I remember getting the same response from talking about this. My response went something like "oh, I didn't know American Idiot had one." lol.
