I mean it does look cool. I've made worse purchases haha. I have one for American Idiot too.
I had no idea there was one for America Idiot!!! I'll check amazon haha.
I checked after haha, had no idea how limited. Plenty cheap ones on ebay anyways.
Dropping in to say I actually really enjoyed their Warped Tour set. It was my first time seeing them since 2004. All older songs, but they sounded good. Still breaks my heart that Burt doesn't scream anymore though. Listening was the shit!
I thought he did really well. I was skeptical to hear how his jazzmaster would fit The Used's sound, but I thought it added something new to their sound and I liked that. His backing vox were decent too.
I also just came across this article and holy shit.
Report: The Used File Restraining Order Against Former Guitarist
Too bad they still haven't figured out they should get someone to scream instead of Jeph. I mean especially on Warped it'd be so easy to grab someone at least decent to guest every night
If I remember correctly, Joey Bradford did some screaming too.
Ah I'll have to look. Only vid I saw was still Jeph on Sharp Objects
I do agree that it would've been cool to have other people come up and scream parts on the tour.
Right? It seems like such an easy idea to come up with to me anyways
I dont recall him saying one thing haha
So are these guys good live or not? I'm probably seeing them at a festival at the end of August and I'm wondering if I should prioritise them.
they're fine live. bert doesn't scream though. he just jumps around and smiles.
Do they have anyone else do those parts or do they just sing them?
usually the bass player screams (and it's horrible) but apparently the new guitar player has been screaming so maybe that's better.
Do they still have the former guitarist of Saosin or was he the one who they got a restraining order on?
he was the one who got the boot
In my defence, it's hard to keep with mid 2000's bands and the sheer volume of members they go through. Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Panic! at the Disco, Senses Fail, etc
Even Wikipedia has given up
Yo so it turns out these were fucking brilliant at Reading.
Unfortunately the BBC only broadcast the main, NME and Introducing stages, and the other four aren't shown to allow you to be closer to the stage and have less obstructions. They do film it still for the screens though so if something pops up I will definitely post it.
I did write about it in my review in the CMCS thread though.
Found it I think.
The photo of The Used curb stomping themselves is still one of my favorite band pics of all time.
