yeeeeeah, that's why i didn't attend the show here in SLC. i knew it would ruin it for me. Bert can't scream, when Jeph sings it sounds like tasmanian devils fighting, no Quinn, no Branden... just isn't even close to the same band they were back then.
Bert had one of the best Screams-Sing and Sing-Scream transitions. It was so seamless. It's so unfortunate they'll never be like that again
The way Bert introduces Justin at the beginning of the show on the Live and Acoustic at the Palace made me cringe when I heard it knowing what happened to Quinn. Speaking of Quinn I wonder what's going on with the project he was working on with Branden...wasn't Tyler Glenn the Neon Trees guy suppose to be involved too?
This may be common knowledge, but Quinn's primary musical outlet at the moment is Vada Wave with his wife Megan (apparently from some season of American Idol). It's kinda middle-of-the-road indie electronic pop rock. Never sure how describe it..
They did talk about it in that podcast awhile back so I think it's happening eventually. They did say it would take awhile. The only rumor I would say is that Tyler Glenn is involved.
Yeah, I heard the Tyler Glenn rumor from a pretty credible source. So we'll see if that actually pans out or not.
I went back and it looks like the link to the podcast is on page 2. Definitely worth listening to. Fascinating but also sad to hear about how dysfunctional they became over time.
it's kinda odd that people still go to bands websites. let alone often enough that they notice a small change in it and knows what it's been like for at least the last 2 years, haha.
The only band website that's worth going to is Metallica's. They have so much cool stuff up there for fans
i am listening to the used today because i feel like screaming and being dramatic Imaginary Enemy is better than i remember
I'm hoping for a more detailed write-up soon. "The Used are ready to once again re-claim the throne of best rock and roll band of all time."
