yeah, i really like the song! music still unavailable for purchase on Amazon. Wonder if it will be there on Friday? I don't know that I'll be able to get it right away though, because I used up all my savings for music already this year. lol
You lost me here. The whole effort seems rather confused (the exclusion of "Fuck You"/"PAV", releasing a barely 30 minute album on double vinyl), mailed-in (singles artwork just being tweaked versions of the album cover), and uninspired (both "Numb" and "Giving Up"). I'm still going to give the whole album a cautiously optimistic listen or five, but I won't be surprised if I'm left disappointed and/or wanting more either.
I like Giving Up a lot, probably my favourite of the songs so far but it is a little repetitive and could have a stronger ending, especially as a closer.
that's what i meant to say the other day! only 30 minutes??? but I actually really like Giving Up. It's a departure from their original style, but I still enjoy it. Hope the rest of the album is as good as this one, cuz the others were just ok (I mean, two aren't on the album, but Numb was just subpar to me, if I'm being entirely honest)
Just started my first listen. The first three songs are.... yeah not doing much for me. Pinky Swear and Headspace are pretty good though!
This is more consistent than the last album but still feels pretty flat. Surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did but don’t really see myself returning to it. I think Cherry is cool but lyrically it’s pretty rough, seems like a nice standout track for Octane radio though.
I appreciate how short and concise it is. It really seems to be a snapshot of how hard the pandemic was for Bert and his 'Headspace' at the time lol. For someone, like myself, who is 'going through it' right now, it definitely resonates. Even if it's a bit awkward/clumsy at times.
