I love the new song but I like the majority of Artwork more than it and some songs off IE more than it too. But I LOVE Artwork more than most albums so not surprising lol
I feel I need to give it another go. I wasn't impressed first time I heard it on release but that was a long time ago.
I'm actually a big fan of the single's lyrics. The verses especially with the references to MJ and Nirvana.
Yeah I've always enjoyed Bert's lyrics mostly. Obviously there are some dubs (hello Disaster and Liar, Liar) but I've always connected with them a lot. I have Taste of Ink lyrics tattooed even.
I mean, I have a favorite band too, but I understand that I am biased, and while I enjoy all parts of their sound, I understand casual fans have complaints about some deficiencies in areas.
The comments weren't as over the top as used_fan used to be til the classic gummy drop line lol. I did wonder since I always knew TUG obviously meant The Used Guy but he seemed different haha
Not gonna lie, I’m pretty curious to hear a second single from this album. Hopefully it ends up being pretty musically diverse like the single seems to indicate.
There will be only one way to listen to the new album. As everyone knows it will be the greatest record ever released. You need to climb to the top of a mountain, put a great pair of headphones on and let the wind carry you as you listen to Bert swoon you, with his incredible lyrics, and let the music take you higher than you already are on that mountain. It will be a moment you'll never forget. Right, @TUG ?
I'm not sure how much more of this I want to hear before release date either, definitely seems like it's meant to be taken as a whole. I'm just nervous about wearing out Over and Over Again.
I'll listen to as many as they put out. There's 17 songs so I'll still have a ton to listen to when it comes out.
Just watched the music video, first impression: THIS DOESN'T SOUND LIKE FELDMANN PRODUCTION AT ALL! Song is pretty catchy tho I used to love this band till LFTL, they lost me big time with "Artwork", dropping that unique musical style they developed (glossy-theatrical-horror-pop-punk-screamo with some electro-glitchy elements ) and going back to some dull-generic production after songs like the EPIC "Bird and the Worm"???? After heavy bangers like "Pretty Handsome", "The Ripper", "Wake the Dead" and "With Me tonight".... That was a huge turn off IMO. 10 years later LFTL sounds more badass and fresh (production-wise) than "Over and Over Again".
