I dunno, I just watched that video for the 12th time since this bracket began and TFHA is pretty incredible.

 

TL&TG is the second best song on the album. The best song is already eliminated. The 3rd best will probably win the album.

 

3rd best being IKSOSE

 

All while still agreeing FHA is such a great song. Thats how good this album is.

 

This thread is educational, so far I've learned that Crowing and L&G are two of their most loved songs and Welcome Home is not considered among their best. I had no idea.

I'm excited but scared to learn what everyone thinks of my favorite album, No World for Tomorrow and the songs on it

 

No arguments from me that AFHA is great... I just have a hard time understanding why people like it more than TLATG.

oh okay, the AFHA love is starting to make more sense, haha. You like more straightforward Coheed. That's perfectly fine.

 

AFHA is absolutely great for being the poppy radio single. No hate at all.

BUT... Three Evils is the best pop song Claudio has ever written, and it's not close. To me, they're both equally accessible and infectious, but TE is just better thought out and less cliche.

 

Not sure how this forum feels, but in general the fanbase ranks it lower. It's more straightforward rock music compared to the more proggy stuff. For what it's worth, I love NWFT though

 

AFHA ain't bad but it's also shouldnt have beaten Backend of Forever :( *sigh*

I'll probably get crucified for this, but acoustic Coheed does absolute fuck-all for me.

 

That's possibly the case here. I got real into them with Good Apollo and love the all tracks on that album, including the all the Willing Wells and how weird they can get, but I do love the songs on NWFT a little more, which was pointed about above that it's more straightforward.

 

My perfect Coheed record is just nothing but 6+ minute prog epics.

 

Yep. Bring on The Afterman bracket where I vote for Gravity's Union until the end of time.

 

On that note, I'm looking froward to the UHC bracket, even though I know I'll prob have to quit out of frustration one round in. I've listened to that shit nonstop for 4 months, and it's drawn me in obsessively like I never imagined anything post-GA1 would
