Just binged all 5 eps yesterday and today. Ready for the finale.

 

This show rules. Who do yall think did it? My guess is Jonathan, and he made his son an accomplice by hiding the weapon with him.

That was an insane finale. Hugh Grant really came through with this role, huh?

 

Enjoyed the series. I'm glad they didn't try to pull the rug out from under everyone with the whodunnit aspect in the finale

Gonna start this sometime this week since the whole season is out.

 

What specific moments you thinking of? I think for the most part I found the plot to be over the top but written in a believable way.

 

henry's reactions and motivations seemed completely contrary to the way the character was built up over five episodes, grace contradicting herself repeatedly - sometimes intentional sometimes now, building up donald sutherland's character over the course of the season to completely abandon him in the finale, weird usage of the friend we have had zero development for, the manipulation of Miguel in his one scene.... i could keep going haha

 

Weird tone and weird writing in this show. Almost done the finale. 99.9% sure who did it. Hate all of the news reporter social media shit

the writing for the character of Elena fucking sucks. Just garbage for a show in 2020.

I do like, however, the fact that they show how fucking awful Hugh is by accusing his own son/the speech he gives about her son. Also like showing how horrible and ruthless the prosecutor was for calling the husband/son to the stand.

I only briefly thought it was Elena’s husband in the second ep after he confronts Kidman, and then switched to Hugh quickly. I feel like that pulled the rug out on viewers searching for the mystery suspect and probably made them feel shitty.

Anyway, this was not very good and the writing of most of the characters stunk, but I respect the outcome and how it makes you think about the manipulation of victim’s families.

 

i feel like the most likely secondary possibility - the way they wrote it - was henry, not fernando

 

Insultingly awful and the most mad I’ve been after watching something in a long time. What a waste of time.

 

an episode earlier Henry, who already had the hammer, was begging for his family to get back together and get a dog

this episode he’s convinced his dad is a murderer instantly, which he apparently already knew, and is terrified and bug eyed every time he sees his dad

 

The more I think about this show, the more incensed I am. Fuck. I'm dedicating the rest of my week to making sure people don't watch. Just a haphazardly glued together string of plotholes masquerading as a television miniseries.

 

That is how I’ve felt about a lot of the miniseries HBO has released. They stink

also there's definitely some bad stuff out there but some great shorter series by HBO
