not the same genre but the only thing that comes to mind is when Hulu and Netflix both released their Fyre Festival documentaries on the same day

 

Like I saw the initial twist coming that the wife was in on it but that second twist the wife fabricating the abuse, playing her boyfriend like a puppet, and masterminding the entire thing through me for a loop.

 

I never knew about this guy. he looks like pure evil

 

This American Nightmare Netflix doc about that Denise Huskins "Gone Girl" kidnapping case. Holy shit. The twists this case takes.

 

Watching They Called Him Mostly Harmless on Max. Its wild that local law enforcement agencies are starting their own true crime podcasts now to try to get their own cases solved.

 

Also true crime that focuses more on "true crime people" Facebook group drama than the actual victim and case is the problem with true crime

 

Woke up yesterday morning to several Amber alerts as this is going on not too far from me.

Did anyone catch the 20/20 on the Ruby Franke "YouTube mom-fluencer" child abuse case? They showed much of the bodycam footage and evidence in public for the first time, and and Jesus fucking Christ it's disturbing and hard to watch

 

Today I went down the rabbithole of watching videos on that 2022 Apple River tubing mass stabbing case in Wisconsin.

All the people victim blaming those kids can get fucked. Just another case of a grown ass man who would rather pull out a weapon and kill someone than just square up take an ass beating. It is babydick coward behavior. People are actually making the case that getting publicly roasted by rowdy drunk teens is an excuse for murder now.

Very weird and telling that this dude was watching true crime YouTube docs to get himself hyped up right before the murder

 

Yeah it was highly upsetting to watch. Maybe just being a dad it bothered me more but I could not stand the dad in that series. Like I kind of appreciate he had some honesty toward the end about still being in love with his wife or whatever because it would have been easy to just say she’s a monster but I don’t know it seemed like he had to know his own kids were in danger and being abused for over a year and did nothing

I watched the Hulu one too lol

After watching that it kinda made it seem like that guy was kinda brainwashed and snapped out of it after, but who knows if that was just a spin

 

Also I heard the daughter's book was really good

There’s a case that started yesterday near my city that is a murder/dismemberment case. Mostly seems cut and dry and horrible but allegedly none of the blood found on the alleged murders FLOORS and WALLS is that of the murdered woman sooooo this guy just has blood in his house / certain rooms of… other people?
