Seeing Tom get a non-Alex Baskin/Lisa Vanderpump edit is glorious I really wonder where this is going to go. I feel like Boston Rob ousting Bob was smart in a world where the traitors he's teaming up with are smart, but I can't help but wonder if sowing that distrust is going to screw himself over. AND YET just when I think the faithful are getting closer to seeing through it all, they get distracted and do something dumb. I don't know what to make of any of it
Eating like it's his last meal hahaha Wes da gawd Honestly Rob and Tim are my favs so far. The fact Rob escaped that last night ...whew. And Wes called out exactly what he was doing!! Him and Derrick were really the only brains of this bunch. Rib can't kill him now it'll look way too obvious. Best bet is sit back and let Carolyn and Danielle kill each other and take the heat off him.
Please! I laughed so hard when Derek interrupted my is though process at the roundtable. His theori s are so wild I can't wait for him maybe actually think something correct and NO ONE believes him haha.
US Season 3 is my first time watching (unashamedly for Boston Rob), and I have a question about the rules. Danielle keeps making it sound like she could gain a new traitor if she eliminates Carolyn. I thought if all traitors are gone the faithfuls just win? Or is there some opportunity for someone to become a traitor later in the game?
The total number of Traitors in the game at any time is never revealed to the Faithfuls, but may change through banishment or recruitment. If a Traitor is banished before the end game, the Traitors may have the opportunity to recruit a Faithful to join them as a Traitor and if they agree, they become a Traitor from that moment on, for the remainder of their time in the game. BBC One - The Traitors - The Traitors: How the Show Works the recruiting happens via letter sent to the recruitee's room overnight, akin to how they learn about being murdered
I’ve never seen an episode of VPR, but is Tom known to be this erratic weird guy? Between his and Carolyn’s facial expressions I’ve never laughed so hard at a show.
Correct, there's no guarantee at all she would get an opportunity to get a new traitor, she's playing very poorly
Honestly not really lol. That show generally gives him a much kinder edit, even in the last two seasons where the audience has hated him.
Haha I loved it. It's SO Wes, I would shave been extremely disappointed if he didn't proclaim himself the best of the best of the bestest of everyone there lol.
L take imo. Wes being Wes, love it or hate it. He went out like a real Challenger and killed it. he didn’t say anything that wasn’t true either.
To be clear, I had no idea who Wes was before this show. Never watched an episode of the challenge in my life. Just thought it was a pretty cringy way to go out. “Fuck all you guys” lol
If you enjoy competition reality tv, i highly recommend The Challenge. it’s the only competition based reality show that regularly brings its cast members back… Wes in particular has done something like 20 total seasons of the show (across all its various spinoffs). i know Survivor & Big Brother bring people back once in a while, but it’s such a bummer that Danielle and Britney, for example, have only been on tv a few times over the last 15-20 years. The Challenge is by far my favorite of these types of shows, but the Traitors is really incredible and i love that they proved you can make a new show in this spectrum of reality tv and it can still become a massive HIT.
Yeah the best thing about the challenge is how it constantly brings back people and you get to see their character arc from over the course of 20 years. Like if we look at Wes and CT and Bananas from last season (Trishelle less so) they've been off and on for the last 20 years consistently. You begin to familiarize yourself with them not only as a player but as a person. CT started in 2004 and has been on 23 seasons. Wes started in 2006 and has been on 20 seasons. Bananas also started in 2006 and has been on 26 seasons. Whereas something like BB or survivor that brings in fresh faces every season unless it's like an All Stars or returning players, I think the most someone in either of those franchises has done is.....3? 4? The Challenge (and The Real World before it) have given us so many characters throughout the years. I've been watching since 2002 so I've basically grown up watching these people.
I dunno maybe I’d feel differently if I watched it but the idea of seeing the same people on 20+ seasons doesn’t sound very appealing to me. One of the many reasons survivor appeals to me is the fresh crop of new players each season
finally caught up Wes is such an idiot with that "I'll keep my eye on you" line if people voted against him. That sealed his fate. Danielle is playing so poorly, can't believe people didn't glom onto her during the riddle challenge when she saved Dolores twice instead of herself. And Carolyn going after Danielle during the roundtable even though the tides had turned against Wes — why pivot? Yes, you have a valid axe to grind against Danielle, but why at that point? Read the room! Of course, with the editing, this all feels obvious but perhaps didn't feel as obvious to the actual players in the room, so I'll cut them some slack great tv though, this is awesome
Caught up on US3. Danielle may be the stupidest traitor in any of the countries I’ve watched. She thinks she’s clever at going after her fellow traitors but she doesn’t have any subtlety or skill. Really felt for Rob in that meeting, ngl. Also, it’s so funny as a Brit watching all the egos on these people who are absolute nobodies to us.
