    This is incredible news!

    Long live Gord!

I worked on the Hip's final show stage front side for Live Broadcast. Pretty surreal to be right in there with the band on such a big event.

One of the best. Was about to listen to some Hip but then I'd be balling at work. RIP Gord. Fuck cancer.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

R.I.P. Gord. Will be spinning The Hip a lot today in his memory.

I know, it's a double record! That'll be a very heavy, emotional listen!

I'm sure it will be a great farewell. He must have known it would be his last.

I just finished working with The Hip's guitar tech/roadie, Billie Rae. He'd often wear his Hip vest and a hat that read "In Gord We Trust". Everyone that I know that worked with Gord said good things about him. Pure Canadiana. After working on their final show, I was given a few guitar picks. Keep them in my wallet as a reminder life is precious. Sad news. Not every gets to go out in such a celebrated way that he did.

Still feels awful. I'm not even 30 years old and I've listened to them for nearly 20 years. As long as I can remember, my dad was listening to them or I was. Ugh.

Anyone listening to his new record today? I need to emotionally prepare myself. I know it'll be a real tough listen.

I've only heard SP, IY, TGB and ATCS. Need to check out Coke Machine and Battle.
I didn't much care for the Secret Path album though I love everything else about it, and Jeff is my favourite artist and writer in the comics world, so that was awesome to see them together.
