I learned this pretty recently too. It’s funny how it’s become so affiliated with Batman

TIL: There’s apparently a weird stipulation in The Strokes’ recording contract in which if a member of the band quits, the entire band must contractually break up.

This is why there’s never been a lineup change during their 25 year history despite instances of their relationships being fraught
