TIL about the Marathon du Medoc. The longest marathon in the world held annually in France. It is so long because it includes several stops for orchestras, wine tasting, oysters bars, and steak.

TIL there is an internet theory that Vanessa Carlton wrote her hit song "A Thousand Miles" about IASIP's Glenn Howerton.

Carlton said she wrote the song about a Juilliard student in New York in the 90's she had a crush on who is "now a famous actor". I guess Glenn went to Juilliard at the time and people put 2 and 2 together.

TIL Cougars/Pumas/Mountain Lions and Cheetahs are the largest members of the Felinae subfamily of felines that includes domestic cats. They're actually not technically "big cats" at all. Cougars and Cheetahs are more like very big regular cats.

Tigers, Lions, Jaguars, Leopards, etc belong to the seperate Patherinae subfamily. The biggest difference is Felinaes purr, meow, hiss, and screech, and are physically unable to roar like Patherinaes.
