I might be wrong but I feel like someone saw a Halloween III Silver Shamrock prop peeping backstage in Hollywood but maybe it was Orlando instead.
It was at Hollywood, if I’m remembering correctly someone saw the facade for the house and it had silver shamrock signage on it.
So we have an 8 person group trip this September (the first time our friend group is all going together, which is exciting), and two of our friends decided to get to Disney a day early and booked a room at Animal Kingdom Lodge. They just got upgraded to a Villa for free so now I'm moving my flight up a day and get to stay in AKL for free for a night It'll be nice to have our first day there without any parks, so we can just hang out at the hotels and Disney Springs
SW is doing a Halloween thing this year so I think the plan for my friend and I is to do HHN til 11-midnight, then head over there and check it out. Hopefully it's cool. It's only $30 so worth a shot.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is the hidden gem of Disney World imo. Usually always has rooms available cause it’s so far removed from everything (except for Animal Kingdom obviously) and has one of my favorite pools on property.
My parents have DVC at AKL and yeah, I agree it's amazing there. Gonna get some bread service at Sanaa and feel content with the world.
resort / springs days are extreeemely underrated. i always tell people if their budget can accommodate it, plan an extra day just to chill at the resort or hop around springs.
Booked my flight for Wednesday to Sunday in September. 4 nights of HHN is lit. Hoping Ratatouille has a soft opening as well.
I had been wanting to change my flight to Orlando from Saturday to Friday but it would have cost me an extra 10k+ points, but with the sale yesterday I was able to switch to Friday for only a small amount of points. I love having a SW credit card, it's really worth it when you can use the points for cheap flights.
My ex wife owns a business and purchases everything on her SW card. Flies to FL for free all the time. And she's A-list because of how much money she spends monthly/yearly so she goes through pre-check lines and everything.
Pre Check is good but I definitely recommend getting Global Entry instead. It's a little more expensive (I think it's a $15 difference) but you get Pre Check benefits plus it makes going through customs so much faster. Last time I flew back to Miami from Germany with my mom I spent maybe 5 minutes in line while she had to stand in line for 2.5 hours. It was ridiculous.
Looks like HHN Orlando prices are up on the USO app. $70 for the night we plan on going, not too bad...other nights are $90+ I'm going to have to buy the express pass for $70 as well because last time I went it was awful without it
I have only been to one Halloween Horror Nights, and I made the mistake of working all day, driving to Orlando, and then going. This year I will get a hotel and take the day off.
I’ve only been once, and my brother and I said we’d rather not go at all than attend without an express pass. Longest line we waited in was like 10 minutes long, and we were able to get all the houses, rides, and scare zones done by like 11pm. We even doubled up on some of the houses and rides when the regular standby lines were super short.
after the events of the past year, I don't think I've ever looked forward to anything as much as I'm looking forward to this trip lol
