That is actually something I did notice while we were there. Quite a few maskless adults (outside) and young kids with them who were still masked.
Also, sorry to double post. But I didn't know this thread existed! Most appropriate place I can tell my Rise of the Resistance story! We had HS reservations on 2 of our 4 park days (had hoppers). The first day I attempted to get a 7am pass and *thought* I failed. The app glitched and it appeared as if we didn't have a pass. It was fine, we went about our day. At the end of the night when we were back at our hotel...I saw a buried "Its time to ride!" notification. I apparently had gotten group 12. I did not tell my husband about this. He would have been devastated. Our second HS day started out much better. I successfully got group 29 so we jumped on the skyliner (TEAM SKYLINER. Worth it) and headed over. I gloated for about a half hour about being the best wife ever because my husband so desperately wanted to ride this and we won't be back for years. We had an early morning Oga's so we did that first. Hung around HS allllll morning and it never started boarding. I clarified with a CM outside the ride that we did have an early number and she told me if/when it starts boarding, and if we were in the park before close, we'd be able to ride. Cool. We decided to take a break at the hotel. At 1, we got notification that the ride wouldn't be opening at all. We hopped over to MK and Epcot before I read on Reddit that someone suggested to someone else to talk to guest services to see if there was anyway they could give a pass for a different day due to the ride never coming back on. We skyliner'd back over to HS and I talked to someone in guest services IN A NON-KAREN WAY and she told us a pass may or may not show up on our last park day but if it didn't to go to the front of the park that day and they'd be able to finish the process (started in AK) which is what we ended up doing. So on our very last park day, we were able to hop over to HS and ride ROTR......That is by far the best ride/experience I've ever gotten to experience. I'm not a big rollercoaster fan at all so this is right up my alley. It was 100000% worth going back and asking nicely if they could do anything.
Our only park day the damn ride never went live. I was pissed I didn’t get a morning boarding pass but I don’t think I would still be alive if I got a pass and the ride didn’t open.
Yep last Thursday. It was still our first time for Batuu/Falcon/MMRR so we still had a good time, but missing Rise was def a bummer.
Our first HS day Smugglers Run was walk on at park opening so we got to do that! The day ROTR was down, the SR line was SOOO long. Our second HS day, we rode MMRR and Slinky so I was happy.
That’s sounds like an emotional rollercoaster. Glad you got to ride it! I still haven’t been since it opened and am hoping for the best in September
He still doesn’t know about that first whoops. He’d stillllllll be on me about it. I hope you get to ride in September!
Purchased tickets/reservation for Sea World and Disneyland while out in CA next month. Really excited to take my oldest back to DL for the first time in years, as this'll be the first time she can go on Indy (the ride I worked on years ago). This'll somehow be the first time I do both WDW and DL in the same year.
We did MNSSHP in 2019 and I think we paid $129 each? And it was the full event AND we could get in at 4 without a park ticket. Nooooo way in hell we’d pay that for a super short event like that.
MNSSHP is a lot of fun and definitely worth the price of admission, but I can't see myself paying these prices. I could buy two water park tickets and spend the whole day there for that price.
Random question, but does anyone know of any good California Disney/Universal YouTubers? I follow TheTimTracker and a few others for Orlando stuff, but I’d like to check out some CA stuff. Planning on finally going out there sometime in the next year or so, and I’d like to familiarize myself with the parks, attractions, etc beforehand. I also just really like theme park videos lol
I’ve seen videos from Ordinary Adventures that seem on par with TimTracker style videos from the California parks.
funny thing is I hate actually Disney universal youtubers lol the only one I actually followed was AdamTheWoo and then I only followed theme park historians
Carlye’s got a thorough spoiler free overview of Avengers Campus Very Amusing with Carlye Wisel: Avengers Campus! on Apple Podcasts
Before my first Land trip I swear I tried out 1000 west coast youtubers and none of them scratched the itch I was looking for. The closest I got was Provost Park Pass. They are of course annoying like all of them but are super detailed oriented and point out a lot of cool stuff to look at.
Apparently, some messaging about booking FastPass+ reservations next month popped up in someone's MyDisneyExperience account. Hoping for the best and that it wasn't a glitch
I honestly didn’t mind no FP this trip. We had them in 2019 and it just made my day way too structured. Longest posted line I waited for was Slinky and even then the 60 mins posted was about 35.
It may have worked with smaller crowds during the height of the pandemic but I can’t see having no FP working with full capacity. Maybe I’m biased because I’ve been using it since it’s inception if we can’t get FP+ back, give me virtual queues babyyyy
