They do, but I think my expectations from KK weren’t really met. The end of the ride is awesome. I think I’m just over screens and really like practical stuff.
the studio tour in Hollywood is so sad now because they clearly just need that land for new rides and stuff
In total agreement that Fast and the Furious is a total dumpster fire. Brother and I were excited to ride it for the first time at HHN ‘18 and we couldn’t believe how bad it was. Thank god we had fast passes.
The King Kong ride is pretty good. It is a better version of the Fast and the Furious ride. Almost all of my favorite rides are on the Islands of Adventure side, though. Today I did E.T., Bourne, and Transformers before going to Islands and doing almost everything. I love water rides, though, and that is all Islands of Adventure.
The Halyx documentary on the Defunctland YouTube channel is spectacular. If I saw that band as a kid, my mind would have been blown. Highly suggest everyone in this thread takes the time to watch it.
Yes and yes. It is out of control on the weekends but it is dead on the weekdays. A few of the rides were parked waiting for people when I got on them.
Halyx documentary ruled. Me and my friend watched it outside on a projector the podcast the ride cameo made me start cheering
I’m surprised you like IoA more since I thought you said you don’t really like rollercoasters? Or was it upside down?
there is this theme park podcast that podcast the ride mention early and how they go super in depth on rides and now I gotta listen to that one also
I am generally not a fan of roller coasters. I will go on the kiddy ones like Hippogriff but nothing upside down. On top of the three water rides (Bilge Rat Barges is my favorite ride), the Spider-Man ride is a better version of the Transformers ride, and King Kong is a better version of the Fast and the Furious ride. The Dr. Seuss area is also very well done. At Universal, I always ride E.T. but other than that there is nothing I have to ride when I go. The Jimmy Fallon ride would probably be the second best.
IoA is definitely the better Universal park, imo. Hulk, Spider-Man, Popeye, Jurassic Park, Forbidden Journey, and Hagrid are all excellent. Haven’t ridden Kong. Can’t wait for the Velocicoaster.
I was watching theme park history and I learned about the Florida mummy ride and it’s so much sicker compared to the Hollywood one wtf
So went to Hollywood Studios yesterday and got to ride Rise Of The Resistance. That’s such a cool ride and it’s very well done. The whole walking up to the actual ride is insane. I also spent way too much money. We mainly just stayed in Galaxy’s Edge the whole time and experienced everything about it. Crowds weren’t an issue either. Disney is on top of their shit with sanitation as well.
think i might have like 3-4 leftover comp tickets for universal once all this covid stuff is over, if any of y’all want them just pm me
