With WDW not bringing in their international help and college program help who were set to arrive in June... I just don't see them opening before Fall. Just gonna call that now...
fun discussion I think the obvious/best choice is Mexico, i dont think id ever get bored. Japan is probably #2 - also wouldnt mind getting quarantined at the bar in Rose & Crown hah Poly does seem like the no brainer choice because of everything it offers in terms of dining/drinking/atmosphere (i guess we are also operating under the assumptions that the places you are quarantined in are fully functioning). BUT, if you could combine the two Port Orleans resorts as 1, i might pick those. Easily my favorite resorts, the PO resorts have such great features.
Unpopular opinion but country I'd pick would be Norway because I'm a sappy dork who loves all the Frozen stuff I'd post up in Anna and Elsa's Royal Sommerhus for sure I'd pick Poly for the resort because even if its not fully functioning you've got the pool, beach, and ambiance. Plus I'd totally take over Trader Sam's. If we're going not fully functioning Animal Kingdom lodge would have to be worst choice because of the wild animals right?! could be chaos.
What am I missing in Japan? It might be because we have exhausted bandwidth by the time we get there, but I don’t remember much being in Japan at Epcot? If Maelstrom was still there, I’d say Norway, but I’m gonna go with Mexico.
We spend SO much time in Japan haha - the shop is huge and always has new stuff when we visit, and my wife gets a pearl every time we go and she’s had some good ones in recent trips. Japan is probably my vote for nicest overall and best themed pavilion, from the huge pagoda to the gardening and ponds, it’s totally wortj your time. plus like, Sake & Sapporo
Blah sorry. That was a very conservative guess. I would have guessed July but just tryna gauge everyone else’s thoughts haha
If I had to take a guess, the California parks are fully functioning by end of summer and the Florida parks re-open by labor day for daily guests only, leaving the resorts/hotels remaining closed, in efforts to have the parks open but limit attendance by having no resort guests. I don't personally see a fully functioning WDW happening in 2020. Would love to be wrong, as we are still hoping to go to F&W this fall, but, I really don't see it.
Lol it’s ok. Like I’m serious but I’m trying to be light hearted about it Wah stop Interesting thoughts though
I’ve gotten horrible stomach bugs twice during Disney trips. The place is a germ factory without a pandemic.
Fiancee and I were hoping to go for the Halloween party this fall since we had to postpone our wedding, here's hoping
