Thats what I always do, I just dont find it thrilling. It's a good first drop, but maybe cause it's not as tall or steep? I don't know. I do want to try the one in I think Cedar Point that the whole track tilts and then you drop .

Wow I had no idea that Disney was currently completely renovating and upgrading Space Ranger Spin. I thought for sure that was on the block to get replaced. I guess that is sticking around for awhile.

I guess Tomorrowland is getting kinda a mini refurb this year. Buzz upgrade. Astro Orbiter theming upgrade. New Coca Cola quick service stand. Walt animatronic Carousel of Progress update.

A couple scoops Brayden got from his sources: the new Space Ranger Spin will include a feature where your scores will now up on your photopass. The new Walt part of Carousel Of Progress will replace the opening voiceover narration and will serve as the prologue.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I hope they do this with Disneyland next. Tomorrowland (ironically) is still feeling very outdated.

The only update they done to Astro-Blasters is putting in a new camera, but everything else is how it has been

For WDW really after these updates are done all Tomorrowland East needs attraction wise is: A replacement for Laugh Floor when Monsters Inc land at DHS opens, and a much needed update of Tomorrowland Speedway and I think that is it. That is if they keep the former Stitch building a meet and greet spot and not turn it into another ride/show.

Betting on them turning Laugh Floor into a new Stitch show and then keep the Stitch meet & greet right across the street.

i never watch while driving. i just throw the audio on in the background. on most of my long trips in the past year, i've thrown on the audio for Jenny Nicholson's Starcruiser video. can pretty much quote a good chunk of it now. went through the last Defunctland animatronics video and the FastPass/Disney Channel them videos too when i moved back in August.

We did a day at Magic Kingdom and a day at Hollywood Studios.

Magic Kingdom is worth all the hype, or at least it is if you haven’t been to Disney in 30 years like me. I can totally see why Disney Adults are a thing, even though I think most of the magic I felt was for my kid.

His favorite ride was Space Mountain, I forgot how much that ride jerks you around. Buzz Lightyear being shut down was a bummer. That whole area of Tomorrowland felt a bit emptier and dated. Fantasyland was great, lots of old classics even if they are outdated. We did Peter Pan, Dumbo, the Seven Dwarves rollercoaster which was awesome, the Goofy coaster which was fun and short and never had a long ride so perfect for a 6 year old. Did Haunted Mansion, jungle cruise, pirates of the Caribbean, etc. The cavalcade and the parade were both great, so many characters. We left at 6 and as we were walking out they did a welcome show of sorts at the castle for the nighttime Christmas event and it was the Frozen cast and it was awesome.

Hollywood Studios was great just to see a bunch of characters. My son wasn’t keen on waiting in line to meet too many people, but he did meet Joy, Sully, ElastiGirl, Frozone, and Pluto. He saw Goofy and Max as well, but the real star of the show was Galaxy’s Edge and all the characters there. He lovvved the Resistance ride and seeing the stormtroopers and Kylo Ren walking around. He met Rey multiple times and told her he escaped from Kylo’s ship and she thanked him for not giving up their location lol. Galaxy’s Edge was awesome and it’s a shame the trilogy turned out so bleh because the characters and the world they built is really cool. We unfortunately didn’t get to meet Mando and Grogu, we didn’t see them until late in the day and they went to take a break as we were on our way out so couldn’t wait. On the way out he picked out a Kylo Ren lightsaber and I got myself a Darth Maul one(single bladed boo).

I wanted to show him the movies in 1-9 order since he was so into it, but Force Awakens was on FX at 5 tonight a few hours after we finally got home, so I turned it on for him. A couple hours later after the lightsaber fight, I was downstairs in my online class and he came running downstairs to tell me he now “has the force” and proceeded to use it on me. So I think he may be hooked.

finally finished this today. to nobody's surprise, that was really well-made, and even more pertinent when played back to back with the first animatronic video. in a way, it also feels like a great companion piece to Jenny Nicholson's Starcruiser video, touching on a lot of the same points re: the company's current philosophy, albeit more in-depth.

I was talking to my mom recently about one of our trips to Universal Florida in the 90's, and it brought back a long dormant hidden memory.

I pissed my pants on the Back To The Future motion sim ride (the one that is Simpsons now)

Epcot is also getting/has got some slight upgrades per Brayden

    • Soarin Across America Summer 2026
    • Frozen Ever After getting new animatronics without the weird projection faces
    • Remy ride did away with 3D glasses, and the 3D portions of the ride are now in 2D as of a few weeks ago
    • Spaceship Earth is now open after 2 month refurb. Changes mostly exterior, fresh paint and whatnot. Some projectors in the ride got updated so some projection scenes are clearer. Some animatronics got a tuneup and move smoother now. Ride vehicles and screens in the vehicles are unchanged.
    • He is hearing from his CM sources that something is happening inside the abandoned Wonders of Life pavilion. First real news of work going on there since the Play! Pavilion was canceled. Doesn't know what it is yet, just that there is finally some type of construction work inside right now. Which is at least something.
