It's been less than 2 years since we've been to Disneyland and I still feel way out of the loop on like lighting lanes and virtual queues and whatever else they're calling things these days. I only really care about getting on Tiana's and Runaway Railway, are they just stand by or do I need to plan ahead to get on them?
I guess it depends on how much you wanna go on them. My wife and I did virtual queue for Runaway the first year it was open, but now we typically just do standby for it now. From my recent visits, the line goes a bit shorter than the wait time posted. But that said, if it’s your first time going on the ride, I’d say it’s worth it to do lightning lane for it. It’s also been known to breakdown a bit, and if you’re in line when it happens, it’s a pain in the ass to get out. So I’d say go for it
A year ago tonight my wife and I landed in Orlando for our DW honeymoon. We can’t stop talking about it. I’m so ready to go back
The new Parkside Market in DTD soft-opened yesterday so I got to hit up Sip & Sonder today before going to DCA. They’re still working out a few kinks in terms of ordering, but the drinks were excellent. I’m so hyped the resort has a legit coffee place now. This is my new go-to. Also can’t wait to try the other spots in the market. Seoul Sister looks great
Great day at the park yesterday, until we were getting on the tram to leave and my fiancé realized she lost her favorite Beyoncé water bottle, and then this morning realized she lost her whole damn wallet. What a nightmare. Besides that crowds were light and even though we didn't get into the park until almost noon we basically walked onto Runaway Railway, finally got into Oga's Cantina, rode Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, and Pirates. Tried a ton of food too, highlights were the BBQ Burnt Ends Baked Potato, Matterhorn Macaroon and the Muffuletta with Red Beans and Rice at Tiana's. We were exhausted by 8 and it was too cold to get on Tiana's, but we're going back for my birthday and another day with the SoCal passes.
That burnt ends potato slapped. I’ve been loving the limited-time baked potatoes they’ve been doing in the park
Wallet update: She went back today after work and they actually had! Everything in it, even the cash.
Watching all of the Stella Nova media preview videos. Looks nice! I’ve got four nights there in Sept, can’t wait
lmao I had this, they changed the Backlot Express to the "Rebel Hangar" on one of the Star Wars weekends and I made a reservation to eat there. It was lightly themed (Star Wars figures on the tables) and they had walk around characters from Star Wars Rebels. Good times, and sad that a lot of what made Stars Wars at Disney great is gone with the loss of Star Wars Weekends. Galaxy's Edge do better
