Assuming that Monsters coaster is a Vekoma family/kids suspended coaster…did anything in this list look like a thrill ride, or something aimed at adults? Dinosaur is just getting the Disneyland reskin but anything else? These announcements did nothing for me, my 2025 trip will still be Epic Universe focused.
Sounded like Cars land was going to have 1 thrill ride and 1 family ride in it. Indiana Jones will be mostly "thrill" ride assuming the Dinosaur track stays as the base. No details on Villains land but possible something exciting goes there as far as rides. Mostly good news on things coming in the next 3-4 years. I think they knew Universal was going to dominate '25 and '26 so having things ready to go after that will start to bring people away from there again
You can see.a.coaster in the background of the villains land art. So that will be probably be the one adult thrill ride and area to compete with universal monsters land
Still confused by the main ride in the Cars area. So it it basically like Radiator Springs Racers, but just called something else?
My wife noticed they are doing a lot of same, but different across the American parks. Same Radiator Springs style ride, but different as it is more off-road focused. Same Indy ride, but totally new story. Avatar land, but based on the new movies. It’s taking the things that are working at the other parks and providing a new story for them so you feel like you have to go to both Florida and California to see how they’re different.
I’m happy that Avengers Campus is getting two new rides. I really don’t like Webslingers tbh. It’ll be nice to have something new and fresh. From what I’ve heard, one of them (I think Infinity Defense?) has been in the works for years. Cool it’s finally seeing the light of day
Overall I’m pretty content with what’s coming to Disneyland/DCA. Most of it are IPs I wouldn’t necessarily prefer, but with the rides they’ve opened in DL the past couple years, I don’t doubt that they’ll do something great with them. …alas, no Tomorrowland update…
Again Josh D'Amaro started the panel by saying "everything we are announcing today is in active development. That means shovels have already hit the dirt. Nothing is blue sky. Everything you'll see today will open with 5 years" They seem very aware that fans come in expecting none of these to materialize.
I’m too excited for that little Walt/Lincoln area of Disneyland I always loved the great moments with Mr Lincoln proudly
The reports I read before this became official said Tom Sawyers Island and Rivers Of American were going to be replaced. Not surprising to me. People are mad about this though.
aka here’s a clone of Radiator Spring Racers. It’s just so incredibly lazy to use the same ride system that’s already in use at Test Track.
I still kind of think it’s lame that they’re essentially doing a RSR clone. I know the theming appears to be different and the layout will be different to DCA, but RSR is like the standout attraction of DCA. Opening another one in MK takes away from how special that ride is to the park. And like, I know both resorts have a lot of the same rides, but I was hoping DCA would have something to kind of separate themselves from the other parks
