Po's Kung Fu Training which is basically like a better more dynamic version of Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot also looks very cool. Also the Imagination Celebration live show is a nice addition. Some cool puppetry. A lot of videos I am seeing people are raving about the Donkey and Dragon puppets. Feels like a smaller scale Journey of the Lion King at DAK. Universal doesn't really have much stuff like this.
I mean the entire idea lost me at "you're paying thousands of dollars to be at Disney World for two days and are only given less than 6 hours to go to a single park" because immersion. Going to Disney World to pretend you're not at Disney World, and therefore not getting to experience most of Disney World just never made sense in my mind.
Also props to Jenny for calling out the theme park vlogs that are run by travel agents who sell Disney packages (The DIS)
She mentioned a really annoying things the vloggers do when they call rides "attractions" or use the clumsy full ride name. One even says TM for trademark.
FWIW, I think the hotel itself is a fun idea, but this right here is what draws me away from it. Why spend all that money at a single hotel when the same amount could go to the rest of the parks? I feel like this idea could’ve worked if it were located elsewhere and not near Disney property
I just left that video mad that the average park guest didn't get all that cool ultra immersive stuff in Galaxy's Edge because some exec with EA brain wanted to do IRL payed DLC.
Just outside looking in of what I see: a 48 hour long dinner theatre show, surrounded by drama majors doing "yes and.." at you, I have to sleep in a bunk bed as an adult, I get to go to a theme park but can't do everything I want to do. Want to pass the time? There is scavenger hunts with a broken app, escape room stuff, and you get to play a bad phone game on a giant screen . It costs twice as much as the down payment on a car. Sounds like my personal nightmare.
It’s time for me to watch a 4 hour video about a hotel that I never considered going to just because I’m a madman for any good content
The crazy amount of money they would have made with a more standard Star Wars themed deluxe hotel with a Trader Sam’s-esque Cantina and themed restaurant has always been the most baffling thing about Starcruiser.
that was my first experience with a Jenny Nicholson video and now I’m ready to deep dive into even more videos. So much great content. The best way to start a 3 day weekend.
The one she did on Hallmark's failed attempt at a DIY party planning YouTube channel is hilarious lol
RIP Richard Sherman. Wish I was at MK to go on Small World, Tiki Room, and Carousel Of Progress in tribute.
My cousins works as a bartender at one of the high end places at Disneyland so he gets his family in at least 3 or 4 times a year. I had to explain to them the greatness that is Mr Toads Wild Ride and now they are going to check it out next time they are there since my cousin never took them to it. I’m glad to keep the fan base alive for that ride.
Cool this will get rid of the "Disney parks are too expensive and only something people with tons of money can afford" stigma Dude if you're going to do this Disney-fied Knives Out/Clue concept based of parks lore just make it an Society of Explorer's and Adventures movie...
Jenny’s video on the Evermore theme park was also really interesting as the park concept seemed cool but just so poorly managed.
