I loved it. Seriously so many great memories going there when it first opened and through the first decade really of it just being absolutely dead but so fun to be in.
I've been trying to remember my first visit. I definitely remember the garden area so it couldn't have been too long after it opened. PTR is right though, I remember my mom loved Soarin'.
Part of me will always have mixed feelings on how much CA Adventure has changed over the years. On one hand, I do like what it’s become. I love the strong Pixar presence and a lot of the new rides. However, I’ll always miss the whole “classic California” theme that the park originally started with. I do love the idea of having a park that pays tribute to everything California has to offer. Sometimes I’m bummed they kind of abandoned that idea
Yeah me too, they totally could've kept it strongly themed towards California, that wasn't really the issue.
My fiancé and I got pretty deep into universal Orlando ticket packages yesterday for a trip right after the wedding but couldn’t find reasonable flights. Cheap flights - get in at like 8 PM Monday, leave early Friday, but we don’t want to have a marathon trip Better flight options were 2-3x as expensive im not driving 18 hours from OKC to Orlando
open up an airline credit card with a good introductory offer, pay for a bunch of wedding shit on the credit card, then get the flights with the credit/points. bingo bango.
This would be a dream experience if they offered it. Or just chilling on the porch with a beer at the farm house scene.
