Back when they were doing virtual queues for Rise of the Resistance, it would happen when the park officially opened. You would have thousands of people standing around in the center area, everyone on their phone. 3 seconds after it launched, you could hear everyone either scream in joy or groan as loud as they can.
I was a part of the disappointed groaning crowd on my first ever attempt early in the Rise days. It helped knowing that I could keep coming back for more attempts with my annual pass. I can't imagine how sad I'd be if it was my one chance for a long time and I didn't get a boarding group.
Got flock of seagulls and it ruled. I think the only song I haven’t gotten is Tears for Fears, which is the one I’ve wanted the most lol. I’m riding again tonight so fingers crossed. Still the most fun ride in Disney
That is why I never wait in long lines. I live 45 minutes from the theme parks so it isn't worth it. If I was spending thousands of dollars coming here from Wisconsin it would be different.
Conga is great because it almost adds to the speed. Still waiting to get ‘I Ran’. My most wanted but still the only one I haven’t had.
FoP messed me up really good opening day when I did that back to back in about a 20 min span (rider switch pass).
Hagrids, Kong, and Jurassic Park all currently down lol. IOA never change at least Velocicoaster is still the best
I was on Dudley Do-Right when it broke down once. It was at night and it was the part of the ride that is pitch-black until the train light comes at you. It was pretty spooky sitting up there in complete darkness. We had to be evacuated and it felt like eight flights of stairs.
My only evac was Splash Mountain on my birthday two years back. That was actually the last time I ever rode Splash lol
we got evac'd off star tours in 2016. it was super uncomfortable because the ride vehicle got stuck on an angle so we were like leaning over to sit up straight for like 20 mins before they could reset the ride and get us out lol each person in the room got 3 ultra fast passes though so it was worth the trouble.
As a kid we had to walk off of Colossus at Magic Mountain (the rollercoaster in the intro to Step By Step), we got stuck on the top of the last big hill. Walked off of Winnie the Pooh last time we were at Disneyland. Not a walk off, but one time we waited like 2 hours to get onto Space Mountain, we were on the last incline ramp probably 5 minutes away from getting on and a dumbass teenager wasn't paying attention when when all his friends got loaded, so he hopped the gate after it closed and they turned all the lights on and had to evacuate everyone from the building. Everyone in line was yelling and booing at him.
Space Mountain was down the last time I was on the People Mover so I finally got to see the inside of the ride with the lights on and it confirmed why I am too afraid to ride it again.
I doubt I’d ride space mountain if I saw it with the lights on haha. Couple weeks ago I got to ride Tron then we rode space immediately after and it really is so rough after experiencing Tron. Which was SO great but definitely wish it was a tad longer. Guardians is still my top thrill ride at WDW.
Hahaha i had the same experience and my fear of being decapitated on that ride as a 6’2 person was NOTTT put at any ease
