Going up to Toronto this weekend to see Rufus Du Sol and Queens of the Stone Age (separate shows ha) and thinking about hitting up Wonderland. Anyone been here recently? Is Fast Lane a necessity for a weekend visit?
Just got back from a weekend on the Galactic Starcruiser and it had to be one of the coolest experiences I've ever done. The immersion and the skills of the characters and actors was unbelievable. I'm very happy I was lucky enough to get to experience it and also really bummed now that I won't be able to experience something like that again.
Looks like Zamperla accidentally leaked plans for the Dragster project at CP. Three launches, first at 75mph, second going backwards at 100mph after a rollback on the top hat, go into a 420ft spike then finally launched at 120mph over the top hat. Nothing ground breaking, and def sad that we’re losing the intense launch but as long as it’s more reliable it should be a win for CP. Was def hoping they would’ve added a airtime hill somewhere.
We went to Magic Kingdom on Sunday. I only wanted to do a few things but the relatively low lines kept us there. We had to be evacuated from the Hall of Presidents because someone kept messing with the glass displays.
So I’m doing WDW for my honeymoon in January and I’m pretty hyped. Haven’t been to WDW in six years. What’s good?
Sweet! You will have a blast. I recommend Pop Century as your resort. No sense paying more for your hotel bc honestly there’s not a huge difference until you get to deluxe. Can’t beat the skyliner to two parks. If you want to YOLO go deluxe. Also Disney Genie + daily. It’s just worth it. Some say it’s not at AK but we got second row at the Nemo show and that alone is awesome. Don’t sleep on Jungle Skippers Canteen for your MK meal. If you want to do a. Character meal the breakfast at Beach Club is delicious and not only packed with kids. Skip Chef Mickeys. For Hollywood Studios, stack those Genie + for the late afternoon after using your first 1 or 2. I’d recommend doing Toy Story Land in the AM and then banking them. You can book one every two hours. I did Tower of Tower, Star Tours, Rise of Resistance (additional cost bc it’s individual lightning lane) and Millenium Falcon back to back with a stop in Ogas Cantina. Great night.
^ i agree with all of that Skipper Canteen has become a must-do restaurant for me each trip. The food is really great and it's nice to have a few beers in MK.
cannot echo the Pop Century recommendation enough. If your budget allows by all means upgrade your hotel experience but for the value (pun!) Pop really is hard to beat. if you're looking for some nice(r) dinner spots, i haven't been myself but I have heard incredible things about Toppolino's Terrace at Riviera Resort. You can watch Epcot & MK fireworks from the patio if you're able to score a res at the right time of evening. Sanaa in AKL is also fantastic. Yachtsmen Steakhouse in Yacht Club Resort is one of our favorites, for the money I think it is better than Le Cellier which you can only get into with park admission. I'd also recommend doing a tour! On our Honeymoon trip we wanted to do something new, so we did the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Such a fun experience.
We did Sanaa as a lunch break at AK and it was great. Did bread service, an app, and drinks. It was plenty of food.
Toledos, Toppolinos, Jikos, Ohana, Narcoossee’s, California Grill if you’re ballin with(out) a budget.
also wanna throw some love to Sebastian's Bistro at Caribbean Beach. feels like the 'new' Ohana. very reasonably priced prix fixe menu with some delicious food.
Wanted to go there but no kids menu option. Heard really good things. As you can see rides are second to the food these days. Best new ride IMHO is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Anyone who hasnt yet has gotta go to chef art smith’s Homecomin and get those hush puppies and the chicken and donuts the hush puppies come with a cheese spread and jelly for dipping and it’s the best thing I’ve eaten on Disney property in a long time
i've thought about booking Homecoming but i don't know if i can handle food that heavy in the Florida heat lol
