When Jim said the conversation with Chapek was pretty much as simple as “you’re out, our lawyers will call your lawyers”, I giggled. And he was getting ready to introduce Elton during Disney’s big step into the live-streaming events market.
According to that episode of the dish, it sounds like there have been plans in the works for Chapek to kill the park reservation system, but now that he’s been let go it will be used as one of Iger’s first big wins lol
Sounds like Iger wasn't happy with park prices going up. Would be amazing to see them actually go down in my lifetime.
I was just about to buy tickets for next year before the rumored price hike on December 8th but now i'm conflicted. I wonder if they'd honor the difference if the price does go down after the fact
JetBlue is offering a Cyber Monday sale of $50 off a direct flight over $100 with the code CYBER22. Glad I waited to get my return tickets for my Disney trip next year. Saved $100!
Anyone use mouse watcher or mouse dining to get restaurant reservations? We signed up for everything this morning for our trip next year except one restaurant (Akershus) was already fully booked the entire week we're there. I signed up for both of those but I don't have my phone on me during work and only check it a few times throughout the day, do you have to respond to their alerts within like seconds to get the reservation?
I’ve never used those services but I’d imagine you’d have to make the reservation as soon as you get the alert before someone else with the same alert gets it.
If I ever get caught up on the huge backlog of PTR episodes I have downloaded I'll jump on their Patreon
I imagine they will put must do Disney in a future vote or maybe even do it without prompting since it is such an integral part to the memories a lot of us share from staying on property. Maybe they can even line up an appearance from Stacey Aswad.
Anyone ever been to Lagoon in Utah? That Primordial coaster looks pretty great…however, am I reading this right, it’s $94 for a one day ticket to this park?!
I was out there right when covid broke out and never had a chance to visit. I did see on Screamscape that they increased their daily ticket price... that seems nuts for a small market park like that. Surely there's coke/pepsi/something discounted tickets to get to visit the place.
I haven't been to Disney Springs since it became Disney Springs, but the more i learn about it the more I think the theme/concept is so weird. Like why would you make a fake version of the same type of gentrified downtown shopping district that almost every town now has?
