This is better than a 3 like post. For shame

I stopped into Amatista Cookhouse at Sapphire Falls. I really liked the food and atmosphere

Am hoping Harmonious sticks around through our trip in January - just to see if it's as bad as everyone says. The barges were in place last time we were there but it hadn't premiered yet (March 2021). And same with Kite Tails, just to laugh at that in person (though I'm sure my youngest would at least enjoy it).

Harmonious is/was a great concept with poor execution. The idea of using Disney songs in their native language is really cool and I always enjoyed that aspect, but the visuals were very poor and hard to see and the show just had no heart or story beyond the music. Between the announcement of Happily Ever After coming back and now Epcot Forever, it definitely feels like them admitting those shows were subpar and they messed up.

I enjoyed Harmonius. The screens were fine and could have used something a bit more appealing than what looks like screen savers, but the music and fireworks I thought were good for Epcot. I just found Illuminations to be too loud and too much pyro for the space. It was also not kid friendly at all. My daughter loved Harmonius.

We didn’t see Enchantment but we did watch a video of it. It’s fine but I’d like so see something better take it’s place.

There is a lot about this that would be terrible, but I'd expect a lot of changes in the parks if this happens. Opens up a lot more IP for Universal Studios to use, and makes the WB IP they already use (Potter, Scooby Doo, Kong, rumors of LOTR at EU ect) make more sense at least.

Look I really can’t think about things that *might* come to a theme park when I’m 50

Got stuck on Radiator Springs Racers today for like 15 minutes with the lights on inside. We had paid for the Lightning Lane so they just let us stay on and ride again.

Wait so when did Seaworld Orlando start doing Howl-O-Scream too? That's kind of weird. Like they're running their version of Mickey's Not So Scary for kids on the same dates. How does that even work?

NVM i see now. They do the Spooktacular in a separate part of the park

Also if you don't have Dolphin wearing a little witch hat what are we even doing?

Started last year, I went last year and this year, it's really good! Nobody goes so the scare actors in the scare zones actually talk to you. They hide in bushes and behind trash cans, etc. They interact you with, tons of fog so you cant see anything, etc. Real spooky cause like I said, nobody is there.

The houses, while not as detailed as HHN, aren't bad either. They pulse you in, both years it's just been my group of 2-4 people at a time. It's not loud like HHN, the actors use their real voice, not pumped in sounds/screams. It's way more intimate.

I might try the SeaWorld one. I enjoyed Halloween Horror Nights but it is getting too crowded.

Last time I went to Universal Orlando, I specifically went a few days after HHN had ended, but I think on our second day there they reopened the Stranger Things house and the park was so crowded

I can't imagine being at the resorts going through a friggin Cat-4/Cat 5 Hurricane, especially with a young one. It seems like they (WDW) have a pretty solid hurricane plan in place every time this occurs there though, so there's that.

I'd imagine their hotels are built to withstand a hurricane, but yeah, I'd be scared if I had my kid with me.

I was really hoping to catch a day before the hurricane hits. In 2019 I went to Universal the day before Dorian hit and virtually every ride was a walk on.
