It sucks they scrapped that three tiered Festival Center structure and replaced it with just a stage. That architecture was cool as hell. Also is that Play! Pavilion dead?
Disney being protested by Nazis/Desantis’ biggest supporters to be fair, many of the protesters these last several weeks were probably nazis on the down-low
Scary stuff. Makes me weary of going in June. Seems like we are dealing with a new breed of nut jobs following this guy
Betting whatever they have planned for the former Wonders Of Life Pavilion whether it's Play Pavilion or something else will be talked about at D23.
From what I have seen the queue and pre-ride videos seem very similar to those on Velocicoaster. Maybe it’s just Chris Pratt is in both but the grey/silver color scheme with the lighting, giant video screens to “warn” or “hype” riders. I’ll be interested to hear how this compares to Gringotts because it essentially looks like a quicker Gringotts.
Trying to go in blindly... so far away from when we're likely going though (Jan) so that'll be tough. Japan may open up to travelers next month, which, if it does... I'm definitely going to TDS the first four day weekend opportunity I get.
I once dated a girl that went to WDW for the Disney College Program, but she wasn't a performer or anything. And another girl I knew also did that, and left after about 3 weeks.
That relationship didn't end well BUT I flew out to visit her and that was my first and only time I've been to Disney World, so I can thank her for that I guess!
It’s interesting that it’s geared towards characters and performers, which makes sense with Matt and Amanda’s background, but everything else seems to be opened to other jobs in theme parks. I do wonder if they want a few stories from folks in non themed roles.
I should call and tell them about my time working at my local Six Flags from 2005 - 2006, and the weird security guard who would collect all the pictures of people flashing the camera and show them to me (a 16 year old)
I'm unlocking some six flags memories right now I used to work in the Dippin Dot carts too. The freezers were outside of the cart so people used to open them up and steal from them all the time. Little did they know that the wall of the cart, which looked like a giant mirror from the outside, was actually a two-way mirror from the inside so I could see through. I'd just peek my head out and say "I saw that" but wasn't paid enough to bother to report it. When I was stationed at the Dippin Dot cart in the waterpark, women would always come up to the mirror and adjust their bathing suits, not knowing that I could see them like
Admittedly I never ate there because I always had to eat in Springfield but I always stopped by to pay respects to the monsters
Brought back lots of memories. I used to have a recurring dream as a kid that the snail was driving down our cul-de-sac.
