What return time is good to shoot for for the first LL? Around 3 or 4? Also read Jungle Cruise is the best one to go for first. Going in about 50 days with my kids. Was a master of FP and worried that this trips gonna be brutal due to no FP
Admittedly my brother has taken the reigns on this but we’ve been waiting to book things until the afternoon. I was also a FP master and decided Genie+ was too complicated to worry about, however it’s been great so far
Tried the new counter service restaurant at Epcot tonight and the General Tsos Chicken Salad is FANTASTIC
People have been predicting Encanto but who knows. Disney loves to do a quick retheme when a movie is hot
It was definitely put out by accident and I believe they’ve been pulled. I can’t link it yet lol, but that’s okay, todays my last day here
Some post-trip thoughts/firsts for me: - remy's ratatouille adventure was a lot of fun, glad to have another ride in Epcot. Didn't mind that it was mostly screenz because it didn't make me dizzy (cough cough universal) - while Beach Club and Animal Kingdom Lodge will always be my favorite resorts, staying at Saratoga Springs was cool because it was a 7 min walk from my room to the entrance of Disney Springs. Went there pretty much every day for a drink/late night snack/shopping - love Gideon's but it's so hard to get into if you're not there at the exact right time. I had no wait on my first visit and then didn't bother the rest of the trip because the line was always 3+ hours long. There was also a Halfway to Halloween event going on for a few days so that must have been why - tried Everglazed for the first time and their sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich fucking ROCKED - i thought by this point i'd have nostalgia for the old downtown disney, but Disney Springs is such a glow up in every way - got lucky and was able to get a table for three at Morimoto Asia without a reservation and I will be coming back every trip - still haven't tried Polite Pig because the line was insane - the Coca Cola rooftop bar was cool and had a great Cherry Coke cocktail. if they had food up there i'd probably stay for a while - I miss MouseGear but Creations Shop is fine, I like that it's brighter. The updated World of Disney feels like it has half as much merchandise than the old version - lost my Magicband on the first turn on Space Mountain, the first ride of my trip lol. Must have drank too many Shipwrecks at Boathouse beforehand. Got to buy a cool Haunted Mansion one afterwards at least
OH and I got to ride Pirates in my own boat, there was literally no one else in line and no one in the boats in front or behind me. They sat me in the middle row and it was such a cool experience
when my wife and i were there for our honeymoon we got on Soarin for the last ride of the night, and as we were exiting the CM noticed the "just married pins" and he asked us if we want to ride again and we were middle middle and the only people in the theater and they ran it again for us it was great
Those are two amazing stories, and why Disney CM's are the best. A couple years back we let my daughter do Bippity Boppity Boutique, and at the end of the night I had her go up the Main Street Railroad station stairs on the Town Square Theater side to do a quasi-Cinderella shoot real quick (she was dressed up as Cinderella) and a CM saw me putting the "glass" slipper on her and loved it (as did a number of guests walking by exiting for the night), grabbing us to go see Mickey right away with no wait and to have me show him the photos I just took w my camera.
Some people are upset that it seems like a downgrade from what was initially announced, but I'm just happy they didn't scrap the plans completely at this point. I would like to live in the universe where Covid didn't ruin all of their plans though..
I just want them to finish something there at this point. I know covid fucked things up but it drives me nuts that the company takes 15 years to do any project.
Speaking of the WDW RR, I did hear it whistle while I was there. I assume it won't open until Tron construction is done but who knows.
are they still planning to refurb Spaceship Earth with additional scenes/a new narration? or is this completely on the backburner at this point? I am still hoping to ride it with the current narration for possibly the last time in August, but I haven't seen anything on those specific plans.
there haven't been any recent updates on that so I assume it's low on their priority list/on hold or scrapped completely. I hope it happens, the ending is awful and outdated, and the camera didn't work when I rode it last week. i love everything up to that point, so even if they just changed the ending i'd be satisfied. maybe some new narration just to keep it fresh
