I just found out I can watch it via xfinity streaming. Checked out E1 & E2. It's...fine. I'm hoping for it to heat up.

 

I think what's holding me back is that I find the main character annoying.

 

Everything I’ve read said that it was a massive step down and probably should have dropped the name completely.

 

Yeah it wasn’t that great

 

While this thread is "active" I can't recommend the book enough. I read it after the series and it's super different and way gnarlier. Easily in my top 5 favorite books of all time. I'm super bummed how many incredible scenes didn't make it to the screen

 

I read the book when AMC announced they bought the rights and yeah it’s incredible.

AMC was like "Can we just do The Terror again? We got all this fucking ice left over from the last show..."

 

Hmmm loved the first season. Was kinda bored halfway through s2 even though I loved the premise. Let’s go back to the ice for a new show sure

 

I'd give this series another shot. S1 was so enjoyable. Never finished S2 even though I too enjoyed the initial premise.

 

Hell yeah that new show looks great. Love Arctic exploration.

I still recommend The Terror book to anybody who liked the show, it’s incredible and very different from the show.

Same, I'm all about that vibe shown in both The Terror and this new show, so I'll for sure be watching. Looks like the first episode has been released today, so I might try watching it tonight

 

I’ve always had a bad feeling about him but wasn’t sure. That sucks to hear.

 

Just finished the first episode; really good. Spends a good amount of time setting up a few characters, and giving a few hints at what we may expect in future episodes. High production value too. Sucks we can't binge watch it

 

I’ve kind of accepted that I need to binge shows, so I’ll probably wait for it to finish or get close to finishing before I start

 

Man, the 2nd episode gets even darker than the first. The things man does when left to his own instincts.

 

Can I watch this on HULU or something or do i have to wait?
