Dude at Hobo's in Portsmouth got back to me after legit 2 months of silence and I was surprised to get in with him in less than a month. I'm getting a gorilla head on my lower leg on March 9th, then same night I'm going to see Deafheaven and Holy Fawn play in Cambridge. Gonna be a great day! So now I have 5 fairly large sized tattoos I've got planned out between now and June 2nd.
honestly, I went in there with just the thought of a raven and some pattern work incorporated. I’ve been waiting for 11 months to get in with this artist and just let him add his flourishes.
Just got this today by Craig Jackman at American Electric in Los Angeles. I’m out here on vacation for a few days. He crushed it.
Forgot to share last week when I got it, but got this purple gorilla (on my calf) and loving it! Done by Steven Clark at Hobos Tattoo in Portsmouth, NH. Apologies for the shit quality bathroom photo by the way.
I didn’t think the wrist was that bad. I’m getting my entire calf done in July and have only heard terrible things.
calf wasn’t terrible pain-wise, but i get restless legs and had to resist from twitching the whole time.
So far in the few that I have, back of my arm and close to the biceps have hurt the most. Wrist only hurt a little but close to the inside elbow bend and back of the arm have killed me.
In talks to get a forearm sleeve. He reckons we can get it all done in a single day session, which sounds like it will be torture, but im also excited about just getting it done.
So, a weird situation and I'm seeking advice. I tested negative for COVID on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (yesterday). I went in yesterday to have around ~3 hours done on my tricep and a quick 5 minute thing on my chest/pec. Tested this afternoon and...positive. I know that getting tattooed while sick is not a good thing to do because your immune system needs to heal the tattoo, but I obviously didn't know I was sick. Is there anything I can take or do outside of the usual things (anti-bacterial soap, lotion, etc.) to boost my immune system for the healing process?
this happened to me when I got tattooed in January and it definitely affected the healing process. Sorry I don’t have any advice.
