ya’ll are not helping. thinking of getting something Hollow Knight related or finally doing some cover up work.
I’ve got my eye on this sick frog flash piece, thinking that’ll be next after Christmas/early new year
random thought: I pretty much mostly have american traditional do ya’ll feel mostly contained to a certain style of tattoo that goes with everything on you or just what fits that specific piece
I've just been going with whatever looks cool to me, less focused on the style. That said, there are a couple neotraditional artists I've considered for my eventual full sleeve. I think their work looks cool
I’m pretty strictly into traditional and plays on that style. I’ve got a few text ones and anothe proper piece that don’t fit the style from before I was getting tattooed more regularly. But I wouldn’t even really consider getting anything other than trad at this point.
As I posted, I only have one, but I seem really only drawn to black and grey. These are my favorite artists in my area right now (Boston) Adam - just did my first one : Adam LoRusso (@adamlorusso) • Instagram photos and videos Josh McAlear : Josh McAlear (@joshmcalear) • 2,575 Instagram photos and videos
Also I just realized it’s your first tattoo and I don’t want my bad advice to be taken too literally- don’t slap your tattoo lol that can blow out the ink. But like lightly slapping/tapping is the move
When does the chance of effecting the tattoo go away in the timeline? Like day 6 if I slap I can still mess up the ink?
Whurd, thanks for the info. My artist said I could get back to hot yoga after a week, which is saturday. So I am hoping going to Monday's class is good.
My family all just caught a bacterial skin infection, which inevitably got into my healing stegosaurus tattoo. Had two big patches of raw, weeping skin and had to take antibiotics. Thank goodness it's pretty much healed now and hasn't affected the tattoo. Think I got lucky there.
Oh nice I think you’ll be good there, usually a week to two weeks is what it takes to heal the top layer so it’s not as prone to infection or anything but I would still avoid slapping it lol honestly I always slap my tattoos to itch Lol because it itchesssss and it’s better than scratching at it. Or I will scratch “backwards” like with the backs of my nails instead of the normal way. Idk if that makes any fucking sense but yeah lmao. This is definitely a “do as I say not as I do” sorta thing lol
