Since I missed out on Friday the 13th tattoos, the next plan is to go for this Dia de Los Muertos deal this weekend for $50. Just hoping they have something besides sugar skulls because I'm pretty sure that'd be cultural appropriation
After talking with my sister this weekend, she went ahead and scheduled an appointment. Spurring me action, haha.
Just added the rock ender. Pretty much the whole lower portion is done. Can’t wait to start the top. Getting some awesome ideas together. Also drag and drop on the iPad is awesome. Edit: nvm. Didn’t work haha
I was looking up tattoo places in town and in one of the galleries there was a picture of a swastika tattoo they did like wtf why would u ever even do one let alone advertise that in a gallery on ur site
Think I'm gonna go for a chest piece at the beggining of 2018 if all goes as planned. Also may've convinced my mom to go with me and get a cover up of a crappy flash piece she got in the 90s. She's also been deadset against me having any tattoos for years despite me having multiple at this point, so thats a nice change for once.
"When you sprain your ankle as a child, parents will say "just walk on it, it'll get better." You can't just sit there all sad, you have to walk on it, that's how it will heal. Sometimes I feel like I can't go on and my heart is broken but I just keep walking on it, it'll heal itself. Just because our collective ankles are sprained doesn't mean we get to give up and go home." - Julien Baker I took this quote and made it into an homage to Julien Baker's Sprained Ankle, an album that means the world to me. It is a daily reminder to me that while you may be struggling with stuff, your feelings are valid, you won't be in a bad place forever, and that over time, beauty forms out of darkness. I am still trying to figure out what color I want the background of the heart to be - black or dark purple, but I will get that done at some point in time.
Well I've known I've wanted another for a while now, and I've gone back and forth with regards to what part of my body I want to get done next because I have a pretty good idea of where I want a few different ideas. For my chest, I want an American traditional style snarling wolf head. Not exactly sure if I want that by itself or anything else to accentuate it (though I have a few ideas) but I'd probably leave that up to my artist to decide what creates the best overall composition at the end of the day.
I want a chest tattoo so badly but I am so fucking hairy. I feel like I’d be committing to shaving my chest all the time lol
For myself I'm a fan of more subtle art but at the same time I love things like that. I won a tattoo session in a drawing last week and the artist does super realistic stuff and posted a stormtrooper/AT-AT piece he did that's amazing but I shy away from stuff like that. Maybe someday
I feel ya. The guy that did mine usually does super realistic black and white portraits. The Vader was outside the box for him a bit with color and all.
