Gonna be heading to Portland and Seattle in October. Any shops I should check out for getting some good work done?
I think Tenderfoot Studio in Oregon is incredibly unique and really cool but she's usually booked for months ahead
Yeah I already looked into them. They already booked for summer and fall so that's a no go. Probably gonna email Shannon Perry in Seattle and seeing if I can get into her place for something.
from a couple months back. friend of mine started apprenticing at Love/Hate. working on filling up the leg with more traditional style.
My next tattoo is going to be a fun one, like a band tattoo. Debating between a Beatles silhouette of Abbey Road, one of the Coheed and Cambria logos, or the flame with an eye logo from Tool- Lateralus.
Recently started this half sleeve a couple of months ago, the birds were existing from like 9 years ago and still have to figure out how we are going to work those into the portal and inside of the arm. Next session is in a month. And yes I have the most sensitive skin ever.
Nice one dude. That's awesome, I was going to get the pink "I" on my finger but tempted to get new junk aesthetic artwork on my arm instead. Haha. I can't decide. I'm addicted now. Haha
Looks rad, any significance or story behind it? I love the style and artwork. Also digging the Bats/Robin kiss in the background
Thanks, man! I'll have to get a better shot of the back inside because I love what he did with the exploding/cracking building there and it's hard to make out here. Not really, just a nerd and love robots, especially when they're destroying cities, haha. I initially wanted a space/wind-up toy robot but then also found the image in my avatar (wish I could find where I originally got it from so I could show a bigger version). I took those ideas to the artist and gave him some leeway to come up with something on his own. I had the birds for awhile and grew to hate them alone so I wanted to add something with color around it that would also contrast them in theme yet somehow incorporate it -- so he thought up the portal. EDIT: Found the avatar image.
Does anybody have any suggestions for a shop in Las Vegas? I am going there for my cousin's wedding in a couple of weeks and my sister and I want to get matching tats.
Been planning on getting a flying saucer for a while. Want it on my calf. Something like this pic I found on the internet:
View attachment 8636 My latest in progress. Bat hanging from a Circa Survive safe camp symbol. Surround by a wasp nest. Color will be done on 7/22 Artist is Corey Bernhardt at Reclamare Tattoo in Sacramento CA. Also a fantastic oil painter.
My friend in Seattle goes to Anchor Tattoo in Ballard regularly. Last time I visited we got matching Simpsons tattoos and they came out great.
I really like Gordon Combs at Artwork Rebels. He has done a bunch of cool American traditional stuff on some of my friends. Def the next guy I'm going to go to.
Anyone have a hand-tapped tattoo? I recently reconnected with my best friend from high school who lived in Hawaii for years learning how to do them and recently offered to do one for free (provided I bring a case of beer). He does simple stuff, lots of straight lines and geometric shapes and patterns, but I think getting something done would be worth the connection behind it.
