Two-face added to my arm today. Love it and love how his scratched coin is incorporated into the design. Couldn't get great photos but will get better once healed

Still looking at the Bombshells Star Girl and Supergirl. I made an appointment in March for October, but it ended up falling on exam days. Going to try and push it to early Jan.

Tips for first timers?

 

Think about location for 1. And 2 make sure you're familiar with your tattoo artist.

Thanks! We had some ideas floating around and eventually we both decided on this. We couldn't be happier with them.

 

I'm starting my 4th tattoo tomorrow...my first three are all fairly small, and this is gonna be huge, comparatively - an octopus on my right shoulder that extends down my arm & part of my back. I'm so so so excited, I've been planning this one for a while now :D

dunno if I'm doing this instagram embed thing right but:

He stenciled the head and freehanded the tentacles. The freehanding took a while, so the actual outline right now is super light and doesn't look great in pictures (actually, I think it looks fantastic and I'm in love with it, but I know he's not happy he didn't get to finish the outline and is specifically not posting pictures of it until it's further along) . Will post actual ink progress after my next session in November :)

thanks man! :D Aside from being a personal friend, the artist's style is like... exactly what I wanted for this. He's working on a huge back piece for my brother of a phoenix fighting a hydra that'll be totally sick when it's (finally) done, too.

Ahah, the colors are definitely not final! He was using a bunch of different colored sharpies to get the tentacles right/see what lines he was drawing. I'm pretty set on the normal reddish-pink color for the final, not quite as bright as the colors in the pic. Though the rest of my tattoos are all black, so... we'll see if I take to color well at all!

 

That's gonna look incredible. Can't wait to see the finished product.
