I'd like to get a tattoo for the band the jesus and mary chain, but there's not a whole lot of imagery in their lyrics that would make a good tattoo. anyone else find this problem with other bands they like?
I'm not sure if I'm having trouble with it, per say, but I am in the middle of brainstorming The Smiths and Father John Misty tattoos, haha
i kinda been thinking about "you are not beside but within me" from Loving Someone-The 1975 but im super afraid someones going to mistake "within me" as something filthy haha
Man, I've had ideas about lyrics I want to get tattoo'd for years but I feel like my body is just going to be all lyrics lol. I really like lyrics. Thinking about getting an old school ship tattoo with either "In Silent Seas We Drown" or "March home towards calm, towards oceans and shorelines with open arms." Also, this will probably be my first tattoo. Any advice? Should I start small? Also, what resources/how do you guys choose the right place/artist to do it?
I know it's corny but I might do "for what it's worth, it was worth all the while" tattoo for green day. Or a bob dylan lyric.
It doesn't matter too much if you start small or large it's gonna hurt regardless haha. As for choosing an artist. I would say make sure to look at their work beforehand and maybe even make an appt to meet with them and discuss what you want and placement and such.
Had Andrew McMahon write this for me last time he was in Poughkeepsie. Got it tattooed about a month ago. This is from right after. Sorry that it's gross looking haha
Haha it's on my front left hip area. Sort of right above my waistline. Should have mentioned that to begin with!
I just got this done yesterday, first tattoo. Lyrics from say anything chia-like, I shall grow. I got the idea off of another say anything tattoo I saw online and the artist changed it up a bit and added the lyrics I wanted. Really happy with it This was done by Greg Fly on Long Island, NY
This is so sick. I wanted a Say Anything tattoo for the longest time, but I could never figure out what I would get. Well-done.
