I was weary about posting this because people have a lot of opinions about Deja tattoos but ultimately I don't care. I love it.
Who are the people who have negative opinions about Deja tattoos? Point them out so they can get these hands. That looks amazing
i actually don't like Deja as an album too much so im not particularly fond (or not fond) about them as tattoos but that's gorgeous. how come the church/stained glass style?
Haha they exist....people roll their eyes a lot because it's a common tattoo and its not often done well. But thank you!! Thank you! So it was inspired by an art piece I saw posted on the Brand New subreddit (I asked for the artists permission and then my artist interpreted it and made it her own). It is inspired by the lyrics from I Will Play My Game Beneath the Spin Light "I've never felt so hollow, I am an old abandoned church with broken pews and empty aisles" There are a few more connections to it (for instance I share a birthday with Deja Entendu) but some are more personal. Hey thanks!
This tattoo is fantastic. I was thinking of something similar just without the church pews. Looks great.
Finally got my first tattoo last week. I was going to go with "There's more to living than being alive" on the bottom of my left wrist, but that felt like a lot for my first one. Still planning on getting that, just not right now. Instead, I opted for the small heart that I've been wanting for YEARS. Short story - almost died in a car accident in high school, and this tattoo is placed in the middle of my most prominent scars from the accident. Blah blah blah meaning meaning :P
Finally got that first tattoo I've been talking aboutso, so jazzed about it. Sorry it's sideways, not sure how to fix that. For reference: edit: nvm, i fixed that. heh.
Haha not too bad at all! I nearly had a full-blown panic attack in the car on the way over, which is kind of silly looking back. If I was going to get one, it had to be today because my fiancee was getting her first and today was our four-year anniversary. I wasn't worried about the pain too much to begin with, but it didn't hurt as as much as I'd expected. My fiancee's ribs, however...
That's such a cool memory for you 2! I can vouch for the ribs, don't do it unless you wanna know what it's like for your entire body to rattle.
I flew over from Japan (where I'm currently living) to Mpls (where I went to college) for night 1 and 2 of the four final MN dates. I got it done right before show 2.
She was wincing the whole time, but she's a trooper haha. Hopefully now any tattoos she gets in the future will only hurt half as badly
oh people have a lot of opinions about deja tattoos? ;) i just took these while sitting at work so don't mind the astronaut looking a little derpy. not his best angle. these tattoos obviously are not new either and some spots need some touch-up work done this fall.
My wife also got her first tattoo on her ribs and was in tears. We both didn't know how badly it was gonna hurt since she wanted to go first haha.
This is great! Wife and I also big HP fans! Way smaller than our rib/side tattoos haha. Here is hers, don't have a pic of mine I don't think.
Don't have any rib tattoos but my boyfriends first tattoo was also his ribs. I don't know how he did it. The most (and only really) painful spot for me was (ok this is hard to describe?) above my elbow on my forearm? When it got close to the elbow I was like shiiiiitt
