My latest from Heather Lynn (who sadly is moving away from New England to San Francisco). Been wanting Bride of Frankenstein for a while and stoked how this came out. The stitches on the neck are my wife and I’s wedding date (9/10).
I had to crop this way in so I'm not flashing my ding dong to everyone. Right up on my upper quad, just below my hip bone.
sickkkkk. Man I stopped like mid quad but I like the look of them farther up too, I may have to get a few up there to round out my leg sleeve
also I gave my one tattoo artist an idea for his last flash sheet so he said he'd do that one for free on me, that'll be cool.
It fits the space pretty perfectly. I'm super happy with it... And so is my wife, which is equally important
My appointment to get my knee ditch shaded is booked for June. Can't even get that sweet sweet Bactine in there because it'll be on healed unbroken skin :(
There are a few song lyrics that I toss around potentially getting tattooed but how do people choose a font? Like what if I choose something that ages poorly or becomes the future comic sans
that’s why you have to choose something absolutely timeless like PAPYRUS My serious answers are actually: - traditional tattoo lettering because it’s classic that doesn’t really go out of style - your own handwriting! Just know that if you hand the artist a piece of paper and you happen to write a word kind of crooked, and they use said piece of paper for the stencil, that you’ll have to live with that slightly crooked word forever lol. Don’t ask me how I know that
Both of my leg sleeves are connected to my torso pieces. I've been taking the less common approach, so I did all of that before I got anything below the knees. That's also why I accumulated 250+ hrs of work before doing anything on my arms.
idk if this is too tangential for this thread or not, but what's y'all's experience been with piercings? been toying with getting my ears pierced for a bit now, and it'd be good to gauge the dos and don'ts of the process before committing.
I've had my lobes pierced since my 18th birthday, and over the years I added additional lobe piercings, two helixes, and one side of my nose. The regular lobe was by far the easiest healing process of them all.
i'd ideally just do one in each lobe, and i know that sounds simple enough, but i've gone over 30 years without piercings and just don't really know what to expect re: pain, aftercare, choosing a good earring or studio, price points, etc.
i've also toyed with a nostril piercing (probably left since i have a small mole on my right nostril), but that's definitely lower priority right now.
It hurt very briefly and then was done but then I got super light headed afterwards and had to lay down.
I found the nostril piercings the more painful of the two I’ve done but wasn’t helped by the piercer struggling and that the two are in the same nostril. but there’s no lingering pain really. Would like to pierce my ears maybe but just have never decided what I want
Just got my very first piercing in my nostril like 6 weeks ago. Very sharp quick pain and that was it. Hasn’t been all that bad to take care of, just saline like once or twice a day but it is taking forever to heal. I didn’t realize you had to wait several months before going to a ring
I have double lobes, first lobe stretched to 10mm, helix, rook, industrial. Lobes were super easy, helix gets inflamed a bit still (1.5 years old), industrial was a bit finicky but not for long, rook was a bitch and healed slow. Fine now though, it's just a thick piece of cartilage.
