I don’t know anything, that’s just how I interpreted it

 

Honestly, I'd be content with an acoustic set if it meant Nick didn't destroy his voice and felt comfortable enough to sing these. Maybe even let Jono sing lead for a few of them.

 

I can't understand how he killed his voice? He never really screamed or anything even close to it.

 

People's bodies change over time.

 

A lot of those songs for anyone, especially in the tenor range (I think that’s where his voice lays technically speaking) can be a challenge. Especially after ten years of not doing it regularly.

 

Nick's latest Instagram post: "I’ve had more people than ever asking me about what gear I play in The Swellers. More on that later."

Present tense.

 

A lot of people commenting on the use of tense on the post and he's totally engaging with it positively. We can hope!

 

Am I reading too much into this?

 

I think something's happening, even if it's just a one-off. They've been posting too much and pointedly using present tense when talking about the band for it to be nothing at all. That post does make it seem like a bigger tour though.

 

Yeah, everything combined together definitely hints at something bigger. I think '84 Tigers was working on new music too, but using that second pictures suggests it's Swellers-related.

In a reply to one of those comments about announcing the reunion shows already, Jono said he is just living in his FB memories for a while

As an aside, really cool to hear that Nick worked on the Greet Death record! Did not know that

 

It's the right time to come back again

 

If I get to see set your goals AND the Swellers this year I will be a pretty happy guy
